Site Layout (help needed)

hey everyone,

My mate and I are making a gfx site together and I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve started to create a layout. We previously had a layout but we soon realized that grunge and websites don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mix very well. We are trying to achieve a professional or abstract feel. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m working on the layout aspect (since he has no idea how to use the pen tool) he is working on the effects aspect, such as abstract brushing, logo creation etc.

At the moment I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m having difficulty making a suitable content box to fix in well with the banner. No matter what design I create it never seems to fix in right. If you have any ideas I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d really like to hear them.
