are you limited to only using 1 pouch at a time or is it possibly to triple your "rune" inventory space with the small pouches?

You can use small, medium, and large pouches at the same time.

 

 

 

HOWEVER, you can only obtain 1 of each pouch, I believe.

Confirming what Kellis said: you can use all at the same time, but only have one of each.
