sangara
Hello everyone, My name is sangara and I've had my account [ sangara ] since early 2004 ( I had another account 'Dibcaz' before that but I switched because I hated the name). I'd like to say I've played since then but then I'd be lying. I played a good stretch from the summer of 2004 to the summer of 2005 as free to play. Summer of 2005 I had my first experience as a member and I played that until about December of 2005 when I discovered the online game "Guild Wars" after I found that game I gave up on Runescape and that started my gigantic break from December of 2005 to August of 2009, nearly a complete 4 years without Runescape. I logged on a few times in between those years but I never actually picked it back up again. In August of 2009 I made a new friend, and he told me he played Runescape, so out of curiosity I logged back on. Wow, a whole lot had changed, no Wildy, the Grand Exchange, Trade Limits, Skill Capes, all the new skills yeah there was a lot of stuff that had me interested. Here's my proof of how old this account is :P About Me (in Runescape): Well I guess 4 years is a long enough time for me to get back into it, I've been playing avidly ever since I renewed my membership. I was always a more casual player, I did have my moments though where I just went all out, I'll never forget the weekend where I decided I was going to become a millionaire, so I chose to spin flax ( this was summer of 2005) and I did it. Just straight picking flax then spinning it in Edgeville once I got 1k I would sell it for, if I remember correctly 180 gp per string. Yeah that's how old I am. Anyway I went from about 12 crafting to either 55 or 56 I don't really remember the exact number but it was in the 50's, well what ever I ended at it was enough to make 1 million GP. That was a big deal for me back then. I remember going into world 2 and buying myself a Dragon Dagger (p), a Runeplate Body to finish my set ( I was really poor back then xD) , a Tan Cav, Rune Boots, and I think an Amulet of Glory, I'm not quite sure, it was just a big deal back then. I have never spun Flax since then, and I don't ever plan to. Now that I think about it, those were really good times, ah nostalgia how you plague us all. Well what brings a guy back after 4 years you might ask? You know I'm not quite sure of that answer myself, like I said a friend of mine got me back into it and showed me the ropes of what's going on. I realized that once you know how to actually play and get into this game it becomes about 100x more fun. Sure there are the long tedious and boring hours of grinding but it's kind of a shared experience and there's more to it than grinding. Just some recent achievements since I started playing again: 92 Combat from 76 ( I think it was 76) 70/70/71 Attack/Strength/Defense from 60/60/6080 Range from 4560 Magic from 5051 Prayer from 2576 Hitpoints don't remember from what30 Summoning from 184 Fletching from 3264 Smithing from 51 Skills as of 2/13/10 About Me (in Real Life) Well in real life I'm Kevin, and lucky for me I just graduated High School, yep 18 years old, the world is my oyster and I'm at home playing Runescape, w00t! But in all seriousness I graduated on the first of February so I'm taking a well deserved break as of right now, I'm planning on heading to trade school to become an electrician, no more traditional school for me, yay. When I'm not playing Runescape I do multiple things in my ordinary life, but I'm basically a huge nerd. I'm an avid penspinner which I've been doing for 2 1/2 years now, I'm pretty good, I don't like to brag about it though, it's just like a part of me now and I love it (for those of you who don't know what penspinning is here's my youtube page so you can check it out: http://www.youtube.com/user/EK9krazy ) I'm also a cuber which I just recently got back into, I can currently solve the 3x3, 4x4, Megaminx, and the Fifteen puzzle. I love all these puzzles I'm just getting really into the 3x3 right now I'm learning intuitive F2L and I'm going to try to learn all the OLL's and PLL's. I was going to learn 2-Look OLL but I like a challenge so I'm going to learn all 57 of them, I just started memorizing them this past Thursday and I've memorized 7 so only 50 more to go, but I haven't even started on the PLL's yet. My other attribute of Nerddom would be my collection of nerd shirts I have almost made my entire wardrobe of T-shirts into them, I just love them. On the less nerdy side of things I've been playing guitar for the past 4 1/2 years and can't stop, I'm really heavy into blues but I also love funk. I listen to everything from Muddy Waters and B.B. King to The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gogol Bordello. I also have to say I'm a big fan of electronic music too, Ratatat and Justice are my favorites. All of these hobbies come in handy while playing Runescape I've been able to memorize a couple of OLL's while Fletching and of course practice guitar while Fishing. I don't really know what else you could want to know about me you could probably just ask if you really want to know. Well now onto the important part of the blog, my goals for Runescape as of today (in order of importance): 99 FletchingCurrent Level 85, XP: 3,260,751 Right now I'm doing them in intervals of 1,500 Yew Longbows because of cash restraints. For some reason the buying of bow strings is going really slow so I've been supplementing the time with mining coal I've made two trips so far and now have 296 coal... not that it really matters. The main reason I want 99 Fletching is because I want a trimmed cape when I get my 99 in Range, so I chose Fletching as my first. Levels: 99 RangeCurrent Level 80, XP: 2,022,085 When I started up again I decided that I needed something to keep me entertained so I decided that I would go for a Fire Cape and of course I would need range for that. I tried it first at 71 range, but while training range I fell in love with it so 99 range is my ultimate goal. I'm figuring this will be my second 99 but there is some preparation that I'll need for it I want to get full void so that training with chins is more efficient. Full Void SetCurrent Points: 0 Void Robe Top obtained (2/13/10) This is kind of a lame goal but they say writing goals down is the best way to get them done so I figure I'll include it here. I think I'm going to be training Fletching and gaining void points at the same time seeing as how it takes so long to buy bow strings these days. Void Gear: Thanks for reading! -sangara
John Halo Chief
Nice to see ya, welcome back! You can't buy all the gear at once, the limit is 250, sorry about that. It's a really good goal, I still need my mage helm. Good luck!

sangara
Update 2/14 Well I had a rather productive day yesterday I actually hit all of my goals and then some. First up was 85 Fletching: Then after some grinding 50 PC points I got my Void Robe Top: Probably the most awesome achievement: 1337 total level :P it almost makes me not want to level anything else up. On a side note I now have 444 coal, I kind of like mining as a way to kill time, I've been using the coal trucks and maybe I'll stick with it and I'll add a new side goal of 5K coal. Well right now I've got 337,041 XP to 86 Fletching with 955 Yew Longs ready to string in the bank. Finishing up those will give me 71,625 XP leaving me with 265,416 XP. After that I'll have to fletch 1770 Yew Longs for 86, I figure that's pretty possible for today so yeah I'll stick to that. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to do more PC today or more mining, but knowing me I'll probably do both. So let's say 50 PC points and... I dunno at least 300 coal for today that will be a productive day of clicking I think.
