I read the Quest outline on tip.it for The Great Tree quest, and it recommends that you have fourty fighting skills before killing the Black demon. I have 21 attack, 27 str, and 25 def along with 25 magic and 28 constitution.

 

Would you recommend this be a quest that I aim for? Or is it just one i should do eventually.

There's a safe spot for the demon, he's not a challenge at all. You can hally, mage, or range him.

Level 3s can do the quest with someone using Vengeance and by using Recoils. Yes, you can certainly do it.
