Coop Placement - Newspaper - Project ideas?

Featured Replies

Hi. I started a coop placement at a community newspaper company in my town. I'm very interested in journalism and videography, and I'd like to start doing some photography. I'm only here from 9am-11am monday-friday, and since I don't have much experience with anything (Other than editing video, but they have somewhere here who does that for their website). My supervisor is the managing editor here, and she asked me to think of a project I could work on while I'm here. My mind is somewhat blank right now... it was my girlfriend's birthday yesterday and she was in the hospital due to a panic attack. I was with her all night and I'm very stressed and busy with my writer's craft course...

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas. I was thinking I could do a full news report on stress-relief, all myself. Go out and take pictures, videos, do a few interviews, write the story, edit the video, everything. A good friend of mine is a hardcore MMA fan and has a coop placement at an MMA training place in town, so maybe I could go interview him and the others there about stress-relief. Any other ideas? Remember I only have two hours a day. :S

Sculpted from birth, you try to fit in. Wishing you were this, wanting to be that... changing everything you really are. Meanwhile, you're so lost in others, you have vanished from the earth.
