Today my friend asked if I wanted to play in a Korfball tournament this saturday. I had never heard of the sport at all, but was told that it didn't matter that I hadn't played before, and to just go along anyway.

 

Has anyone played Korfball before? I'm reading up on the basic rules atm but was wondering if anyone had any Korfball-related advice/experiences :razz:

 

Is it easy to pick up for beginners? etc. All I really know about it so far is that it seems a bit like basketball/netball and is apparently popular in The Netherlands.
