Transfer Display Names

Let's say I have a display name on another account that I would like to have on my main account. My understanding is that if you switch your name, then again switch your name 28 days later that the original one is freed up. I read all different things though, and I want to make sure that I know the correct way to do it because I do not want to lose this name.

 

My understanding:

Player A wants Player B's name

Player B changes name to Player C

28 days Later Player C changes name to Player D

Player B display name is now free

Player A can now claim Player B

 

If anyone knows exactly what the wait time is and the time frame when you can reclaim that display name on a different account please let me know. Would be great if somebody who did this can tell me how they did it. Thank you.

Basically, When you change your name, you have 28 days before your name can be changed again, the first name that you had will be "Saved" for 7 days after the 28 day waiting period.
