Power Runecrafting (Abyss)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just one little suggestion, in your runecrafting guide, particularly in part Tips&Tricks about Power Runecrafting (Abyss). I would recommend bringing Inferno Adze instead of any pickaxe because it acts as a hatchet and pickaxe in one, therefore gives you better chance to get to inner circle as soon as possible. But since recent updates as the wildy is once again more dangerous place, the decision what to bring with you when runecrafting through Abyss must be carefully re-thinked. Bring only items you are willing to lose.

Thank you for pointing this out! :)

The Abyss is a tricky place. No matter where you spawn when you first enter the abyss, the closest obstacles on your left and right will always be an agility and mining obstacle. The other obstacles are ALWAYS after those two.

Therefore, if you plan on doing the mining obstacles over the woodcutting obstacles (b/c your mining level is much higher), you will never need to bring a hatchet, because the woodcutting obstacle will never be closer to you than the mining one. If you plan on doing the woodcutting obstacle over the mining obstacle, then there's no need for a pickaxe and distance is not an issue, since you already are opting for the farther away one.

Thus, there's little reason to bring an adze because you will never need its ability to be both a hatchet and a pickaxe, which I think is the reasoning behind leaving ito ut of the guide. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
