What to Post

This forum is for RuneScape game guide submissions and evaluation ONLY! All other topics/posts will be removed without notice. Acceptable replies will consist of compliments, corrections, and suggestions to the guide information only. For general RuneScape questions, post on the Help & Advice forum. If you see a post that does not belong, Report it!

All guides submitted to this forum must be your own work. You may not submit someone else's guide or any other content that is not your own. You may use someone else's data and/or images if you have written consent and give the person credit where it is due. If you claim someone else's guide, images, or text as your own, that is known as plagiarism and is against the law. Your guide will be removed and further action may be taken against your account.

Please add tags to the beginning of your topic title if you are submitting a video guide!

If you have a correction or a clearly-written paragraph or two that ought to be added to an existing Tip.It website guide, please submit it in the Website Updates and Corrections forum under the appropriate topic. If your information is substantial and is added to the website guide, you will receive credit.

Main Site Submissions

We do not accept unsolicited guides for our main Rune Tips site. However, if you've posted a unique, good, comprehensive, complete and accurate guide on this board, we may contact you about adding it to the site. Be sure to follow the above guidelines! Guides and portions thereof become the sole property of Rune Tips. Author credit will be given if posted to our main website.

Q. Where do I start if I want to make a Guide?
A. You can get a good idea of guides structures and detail by looking through the existing guides, or contact on our our Player-Made Guides Moderators. Once you feel like you have a good idea of what you want to start on, you can post your guide in the General Guides forum (you're here now! ). This is where you can start on your guide and make it the best it can be. Don't forget to place [WIP] in your title so your readers know you're still working on it.

Q. How come my guide hasn't been added to the Archive of Wisdom?
A. The AOW is reserved for the most broad-reaching and challenging aspects of the game. Please do not ask for your guide to be added into the AOW. PMG Mods will choose which ones are deserving of the recognition. If you ask a Mod to move your guide into the AOW, it will be turned down.

Q. But my guide has important new information for a skill/quest/mini game!
A. Then please post in the Website Updates and Corrections forum under the appropriate guide topic - the Crew will be delighted to review your information and add it to the website guide if appropriate, giving credit to the first poster. Thanks in advance! :)

Q. Who can I contact about guide promotion?
A. To nominate a guide for AOW promotion, simply report it using the /!\ Report button! More information can be found here.

Q. I'm looking for a certain guide. How can I find what I'm looking for?
A. At the top of the forums there is a search bar where you can enter key terms for topics you're looking for.
