This is an up-to-date guide to the newly improved Fish Flingers D&D in RuneScape. This is a members only D&D. The point of the game is to catch 6 different species of fish, all with the correct tackle combinations for each.

 

This guide will explain how to easily earn all 4 medals every competition as well as the best methods to maximize Xp gains and the weight of your catch during the competition.

Scoring

Awards:

• Heaviest fish caught

• Most fish caught

• Heaviest catch total

 

 

 

Medals:

• Junior Angler: Find the perfect tackle for three species.

• Master Angler: Find the perfect tackle for all six species.

• Heavy Catch: At least 80% of fish caught are of the heaviest species.

• Efficient Fisher: Obtain an average catch rating of 80% or higher for *each* of the 6 species.

 

 

 

Tokens:

• One token for every four fish caught in the competition. These are used to purchase rewards from the fisherman.

• You can have up to a maximum of 2000 tokens at a time.

 

 

 

Hints Explained

Bait clues:

• Worm: red wriggling creatures

• Maggot: brown wriggling creatures

• Cricket: brown leaping insects

• Locust: green leaping insects

• Green Moth: green fluttering creatures

• Grey Moth: grey fluttering creatures

• Crayfish: grey shellfish

• Shrimp: red shellfish

 

 

 

Hook Clues:

• Standard hook: "a normal hook should catch them just fine"

• Slim hook: "that species has a small mouth, ...."

• Double hook: "That species tends to nibble its food, so a double hook will help to catch them"

• Large Hook: "That species has a wide mouth, ...."

• Bone/Wood Hook: "They're clever and can spot metal a mile off..."

 

 

 

Distance Clues:

• Range 1 or 2: "close to shore"

• Range 3 or 4: "fair distance from shore, but not too far"

• Range 5 or 6: "far from shore"
