The Runescape Order of Jedi Knights

Recommended Posts

The RSJK, or Runescape Jedi Knights, is mainly a social, yet small, clan. We’re all about respect for others (and only a little bit about Star Wars), and with that we don’t allow player-killing. We’ve been around for over 10 years, and we’ll be around for 10 more! We have a diverse group of players, from all around the world, though mainly based in the U.S and Canada! A democratic, complemented by our ever changing leadership and clan committees. We pride ourselves on having a tight-knit community, with weekly clan meetings (Fridays and Sundays on World 8) and sporadic events. For even more information, check out the main website at ***.rsjedi.*** and the clan forum and ***.rsjedi.proboards.***!

We have no level requirements to join, but we do ask players to not kill players (Yes, bots too), be respectful and to be active within the clan! We do have a fledgling citadel so we’re definitely trying to build that up for more clan uses, and we ask our members to try and put as much effort as they can into it!

And, if anyone wants to chat or hang out, or even join the clan, the Clan Chat is RS Jedi Knights! Or, stop by our clan meetings; World 8 in Varrock Castle floor 2, Fridays at 7pm EST and Sunday 5pm EST.

The Jedi Code:

We, being the Runescape Jedi Knights, have our very own Jedi Code, our code of chivalry, so to speak. The Jedi Code reads as:

1) The sword of the Jedi exists to protect; a Jedi will always uphold the ideals of chivalry and honour. The Jedi Knights were created as an order to stand for protection. The Jedi stand against the evils of RuneScape, as well as corruption and maliciousness. A Jedi will uphold the ideals of honour and chivalry and will support and assist those in genuine need. In such, the Jedi at creation, and continue, to oppose the idea of Random Player Killing (RPKing). The deliberate targeting of other players for greed, bloodlust, hate, or vanity is an act of dishonour, and no Jedi should ever lower himself to it...

2) Honour all Jedi; a Jedi will behave with honour in his or her journeys. Respect fellow members of the clan, and show courtesy to others.- A Jedi is expected to behave with respect when dealing with others. Our clan is a community, whose goal is to build friendship and camaraderie between members. Mutual respect between one another is paramount. And in your encounters in RuneScape, treat others as you would expect yourself to be treated. Let reason and maturity prevail rather then hate and disdain.

3) A Jedi must be committed to the Jedi Order, and allegiance to the clan must be genuine. - The Jedi Knights require that all members of the clan not be currently enrolled or aligned in the ranks of any other RuneScape organization that considers itself a clan. A Jedi should also not be in a situation of conflict of interest with another clan or organization in RuneScape.

4) The Jedi work towards the betterment of our fellow Jedi, ourselves, RuneScape as a whole, and the improvement of the clan - One of the primary ideals of this clan is to assist each other in the game and come together as a community to help each other improve. Masters are to assist apprentices in RuneScape. Jedi should aid each other when in need. Together, we work to improve the RuneScape Order of Jedi Knights and create a better place in RuneScape for all of us.

5) The Council are elected by the Jedi to serve the Jedi. Leaders within the clan will Lead responsibly, and will answer to the Jedi members when questioned. - The Jedi Knights practice an Elected Leadership system. One where every clan member will have their say in choosing who will lead the clan. No council will remain in permanent power; No Councilor or clan leader will put himself above the membership. The Council is in position to continue the survival of the RuneScape Order of Jedi knights, uphold the ideals of the Jedi Code, and to serve the members of this Clan.

6) Wear the uniform of the Jedi with Pride, and join the clan in a unified front on the Clans Home Worlds. - Jedi are expected to wear the uniform of a Jedi Knight to all clan functions. The uniform of a Jedi includes: Robes, any colour or type, and the Wilderness team cape of the clan's colour; A Jedi will not wield a blade during the clan meetings, furthering the ideals of forming a clan community. All members are asked to regularly play on the Jedi Knights home worlds: World 8 for Free Players, World 76 for RuneScape Members, so our clan members can always stick together, always be able to assist, and not be too far away during times of need.

7) The Jedi Knights are open to all RuneScape Players. The only requirements of membership are to Remain active, Honour the Jedi, and Honour the Code. - Jedi Knights will allow any RuneScape Players to join the clan. Character Level, Character Type, and Character Class are not factors for joining the Jedi. Members joining are only expected to: not be current members of another RuneScape Clan, remain active within the Jedi Knights Honour and follow the ideals of the Jedi Code, and not be of negative standing with the Jedi Knights.

*The ideals and rules listed in the Code are general ideas of this clan's stance and how all Jedi are expected to conduct themselves. We are not without understanding and will not hold members to a stringent discipline. But, acting contrary to the Code may result in a review of status as a Jedi Knight.

Jedi Knights are expected to follow the ideals of the Code and keep them in mind during their RuneScape journeys.

For aspiring applicants, this is the way the clan is and forever will be. If the policies above conflict with your playing style, this may not be the right clan for you.*

Clan Government and Clan Committees:

The RSJK pride themselves on the fact that we have an ever-changing democratic council. Our council consists of 3 elected Jedi Knights or Jedi Masters and change every 3 months, constituting 1 council term. After every 3 months, (January, March, July and September) we hold elections where any fully initiated member can run, but the player must have been to a clan meeting in the last meeting and be in good standing within the clan.

We also have committees within the clan itself as well. With 4 committees in total, no one could complain of having nothing to do to help the clan! The committees are: Recruitment (Fairly self-explanatory), Event Organizers (Again, pretty straightforward), Youngling Review Committee (To help with the newer members become initiated into the clan and help them understand it the best) and Master Review Committee (Reserved for Jedi Masters only, but they, and with the council, help guide the clan in times of trouble and times of peace). These committees also change every 3 months, or every term.

Joining The Runescape Jedi Knights:

Players interested in joining the clan have two options

1) The first option (which is extremely recommended as it helps members in the long run) is to go to our clan forums, at ***.rsjedi.proboards.***, and create a forum account there. After that’s done, go to the forum section titled ‘Registration’. From there, read the thread ‘RSJK: Joining and the Basics’ and fill out the application form in a new thread.

2) The second option is to fill out the application here, on the Tip.It thread, which isn't recommended but still allowed. Afterwards, the forum account is still required to be made, but not the application on the forum. The form goes as follows:

Runescape Username:

Highest Level Non-Combat Skill:

Combat Level:

Why do you wish to join?:

How did you hear about us?:

If you were referred, from who?:

Have you ever been in the Jedi Knights before?:

Are you a member of another clan?:

Do you participate in the acts of player-killing?(ie. wildy):

If you filled out the application on either places, pm one of the following in game: Jellyfisk, Kam Ar Taj, Nytherinz, Sikita1 or Super Budah0.

Clan Ranks:

Within the RSJK there are few ranks, not like many other clans. It starts when a player makes an application. After this is done, the player gains the initial Clan Chat rank (as well as forum rank) of Recruit. After the member attends their first clan meeting the member gains the ranking of Youngling. The rank of Youngling is held for 2 weeks, and then the clanmate has an interview based upon the clan rules (see above). Once they pass, they are given the rank of Jedi Knight, and are a full-fledged member of the RSJK! After becoming a Jedi Knight, a member can become a councilor, and eventually a Jedi Master, our most prestigious ranking. If the clanmate continues to be in the clan for what seems to be forever, they can become Knighted, the ultimate sign of respect from the clan to a member!

Or tl;dr

Recruit->Youngling->Jedi Knight-> Jedi Master (Though master takes quite a while to achieve)

Clan Meetings and Other Useful Information

We have two weekly meetings, both during the weekend for maximum attendance! The meetings are on:

7:00pm EST every Friday in Varrock Castle, Floor 2, World 8

5:00pm EST every Sunday in Varrock Castle, Floor 2, World 8

The meetings are not mandatory, yet extremely recommended as without them, you can be very behind on clan situations and personal goals and achievements of those also in the clan!

Each person has a chance to speak at the meeting, so no one will be left out of clan events!

Home Worlds:

Pay-To-Play: 76

Free-To-Play: 8

We ask that all Jedi play on these worlds, as to build a community within the clan. We are not just people talking with eachother, we are people, friends, a family and we should act as one blk.gif
