Merchanting

There are a couple questions I have about merching and I am hoping they can be answered=)

 

1. What starting amount of cash do you need to start making large profits? (I know there is no minimum but what amount of gp would you make fairly decent profit per hour)

 

2. What is an average amount of cash made per hour flipping? (Assuming your starting off with the decent amount stated in Q1)

 

3. I have always wanted to learn how to invest but I never understood the mechanics behind it or how to know when an item is good to buy/sell (obvs sell at highest and buy at lowest but thats not always easy to figure out). So I was wondering if anyone knew of any good guides out there which would help me or their own personal experience.

Okay, so you'd want to start with 10m to make a fairbit to start with, merchanting is pree' much process and error. Find bulk buy items like logs, ores, fish as they all have high limits - logs are 25k p/4 hours which makes it fairly merchable..

flipping you'll make bout 1-2m p/4 hours using the 10m when you get to high amount like 50-100m you can make up to 6m or so in under 30 mins but you gotta wait for another 4 hours.

 

I don't know much about investing but i do know what you want to do is buy 1 item instantly so raise up the price then sell it instantly as well..

 

say it was green dragonhide - if you inb (instantbuy) at 3000 ea and ins (instantsold) at 2500 ea

what you want to do is put an offer in for as much as you can and buy at 2501 ea, then when you get them coming in sell them at 2999 ea, and remember to keep doing that every now and then to check your margins, this is how we get our margins.

 

so if you bought 9999 at 2501 ea and sold at 2999 you'd profit 5m~ seeming as limit is 10k.

you won't find margins like that often as well anyway, any margin that makes you about 200kish is a fairly decent one.
