I used the Sephiroth Image as a render and worked around it by adding some galaxy-clouds in the background with a spark ball and abstract wave-lines linking to it. I also added some detailed adjustments and outline edits.

Looks pretty good. Although I think you could use a better picture of Sephiroth... The drawing looks of a different quality than the background.
