Xbox live "DNS servers could not be reached"

Hi, up until Sunday my xbox(original) live service was working fine using ICS with bt broadband. However on Sunday it suddenly began to stop working and everytime I run the troubleshooter it comes up with "DNS could not be reached" I have turned off all firewalls on my pc yet it still does this. Could anyone help me solve the problem. Also it occasionally works for like 5-30 mins when i power cycle my modem, PC, and Xbox itself
