I think a buddy/ignore list feature would be a nice addition to these forums. I'm thinking this would include things like:

 

 

* Add to Buddy/Ignore List button in the user profile and post author field

 

 

 

* Ability to see which of your buddies is online and possibly notification that they have changed online/offline status

 

 

 

* Ability to indicate whether all users, buddy list only or NO users may contact you (aside from admin contact).

 

 

 

Any other ideas?

There is a mod like that. It is called ProfilePC or something like that, would have to check. The buddy list thing is very nice to have, but it is a mjor PAIN to install. Took me several days to get it to work properly on my own forums even when there were no mods installed.
