Treasure trails vary in difficulty from 1 being the easiest to 3 being the most taxing.

 

 

 

You a guarenteed a reward every time as long as you complete the trail; however it's not guarenteed to be a good reward.

Just what he said, I have been doing alot of lvl 1's lately and they are fairly easy, but the rewards usually aren't that great. However I did make 200k off a lvl 1 the other day when I got a Zammy pg.
