Burner trouble

Well my comp has a cd burner, and I havent used it in 4 years, decided it was time to use it. Friend sent me Nero 6 (thx meangunz :$ ).

 

But i bought these Philips DVD + R 16x speed, and my drive wont read em

The SM-352B also includes features like an 8MB buffer, Super Link buffer underrun protection and support for the Mt. Rainier format. To top it off, Samsung has included one of the most popular CD burning suites available.

I dont know why it wont read it, I even put it inside my dvd drive to see if it worked but it wont read it.

 

According to this info, it should be able to handle 16x speed dvd+r but it doesn't. Please help, I'll appriciate it alot.

From what you posted, I gather that you are trying to record to a DVD on your system but it appears that you are doing so using a CD (not DVD) burner. I have a similar model that plays DVDs and Reads/Writes/Rewrites CDs, but does not write to DVD.

I was going to say, if you have iTunes, it will stop nero working properly so may try and *delete* your burner.
