magekillr
i am new to macs and i am still on my quest to have a macbook instead of that gay tablet PC... my college orientation is on July 27th to the 29th and i am going to present the fact that i can use a graphic tablet to draw on a screen instead of a tablet pc...and see what other reasons the college has for making us use a tablet now my question is...is bootcamp or parallel a better choice to do a windows boot on the mac? and can i put OSX on the actual macbooks HDD and put the bootcamp/parallel on a separate external USB HDD? or must it be a dual boot? Boot camp is a better choice to boot up in Windows because it's not any type of emulation - you are literally running Windows XP and Windows XP only. l don't think that Apple endorses it, but I read in Macworld awhile ago that it is technically possible to use Boot Camp to run Windows off of an external hard drive. I'm not sure I know the exact details but try searching around http://macworld.com and see if you can pull up an article about it.
