Ranger Pure

I have a pure ranger account, and want to ask this:

 

 

 

How much defense should I have? I've looked all over in diffeent forums and keep finding different answers. Some people say 1 defense is the way to be; others claim that a pure ranger MUST have a good 40 defense; and, I've seen many arguments that 20 defense is as high as a pure Ranger should go.

 

 

 

AND, I've seen people argue that pure rangers suck verse Tank Rangers (high defense and range) and that you should really make a Tank Ranger if you want to range at all.

 

 

 

To be short, I'm confused. #-o

Keep it at 1 if you want less combat levels and want to hit higher.

I would say...

 

If you want to make a tank ranger, become a member, buy a cannon, and raise your range without raising your HP...

 

then raise your def conventionally as you wish. Your range stat should be slightly higher, plus you'll get a bonus from green d'hide when you get to 40 def. Always keep that in mind.
