Things to consider when making a suggestion

Recommended Posts

Personally, I think this is the most interesting board on the forum. This is after all where all the good ideas end up.

However -- before you post your bright idea, here's a couple of suggestions:

1. Make sure no one else has posted on the same topic in the last few days (at least check the threads on the first page).

2. What would it take to implement your idea? If it's going to make things more complicated, then perhaps you should think about it some more.

*puts on Software Designer hat*

Games get awfully complicated. The more complicated they are, the harder they are to program. The harder they are to program, the more bugs can creep in. The more bugs that creep in, the more unhappy the players get.

Given that, sometimes the people designing the game don't see the simple solution. They have an idea, they know it will work *this* way and sometimes they don't see that it will work better *that* way.

Keep It Simple!
