i need help on a lvl 2 scroll

ok here it is i got a scroll that said to search a chect in a temple in varrock that is locked. the chest says that it belongs to a monk from a monastary south of a clocktower. now my question is; is the monk in varrock or do i have to go somewhere else to get to him and if so where is he? any and all help will be appreciated :D

you have to go the monks place south of ardy, where you will have to kill a monk to get the key to open the chest
