I'm getting really frustrated with this quest, I had the tree spirit down to half health and then it vanished, then I was taken off to ScapeRune in the middle of my second try to kill the Tree Spirit, THEN I only had to hit the tree spirit once more to kill it and it vanished again!

 

 

 

Anyone have any idea why she keeps disappearing? I've given up for now since I nearly ran out of arrows.

did u ran far away from it? behind the mushrooms is a safespot where u can mage/range them

I was standing behind the yellowy fungus stuff...is that too far away?

it might be because you took too long to kill it. that's really harsh getting a random in the middle of a quest boss fight. you'll have to start again from scratch killing it, so you'll need to stick up on those arrows again.

 

 

 

standing behind those mushrooms/fungi is quite ok by the way. you should not be too far away to kill it.
