RAHK Posted August 18, 2006 Share Posted August 18, 2006 I am relatively sure that it's accuracy and damage ARE effected by your range level and are NOT effected by your range bonus. I seem to hit loads better with 80+ range as opposed to low 70's and I seem to hit just as well regardless of whether I am meleeing or ranging. RAHK Posted August 18, 2006 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Glad I could help. Here are a few extra cannon tidbits of advice: 1. Alching "lags" your cannon so do not do this (other than alchable drops) unless you want to greatly lower your xp. 2. Use your cannon for slayer! It greatly speeds up slayer tasks and you will recieve the same range xp anyway so you might as well get the slay xp. 3. Do NOT buy c balls. Why? Because steel bars (or iron/coal) are much cheaper and pretty decent xp. Unless you plan on using 10k or so c balls very soon this is probably your best choice for cash and xp. 4. Let that cannon DECAY! You can always get a 100% free cannon from the dwarf who sells cannons north of falador. If you do not intend to leave soon, then pick it up and redeploy it (this starts the decay counter over). If you are full of good drops and you don't want to discard any of them simply leave your cannon there (after it uses up it's stored c balls just in case you get an even better drop). If you plan on immediately returning you should pick it up, redeploy it, bank, and return (provided that it isn't miles away from a bank). This allows you to bring an extra 4 pots/food. If this is the last time that you will be using your cannon for a few days/weeks then this leaves you FOUR free bank slots! With a bank as full as mine, those 4 spots are priceless. Some places do not allow cannons. Other than that you can use any type of slayer item needed AND use your cannon.
