Well i searched the net and found nothing! So yesterday my msn wasnt working.. i deleted application data for it my smileys went.. i thought weird? so i got them back and searched application data and i found them heres it

 

 

 

1) Go to My Computer

 

2) Go to your C:\ (May be Another Drive)

 

3) Documents and Settings

 

4) Your user your signed in as, (Not all users, Not Default User)

 

5) Application Data (Hidden Folder)

 

6) Microsoft

 

7) MSN MESSENGER

 

8) Folder named 3068189156

 

9) Custom Emoticons

 

10) There should be a bunch of .Dat files, Change .Dat to .Gif

 

 

 

REMEMBER TO BACK UP EG COPY THE .DATS TO ANOTHER FOLDER AND THEN CHANGE TO GIF.

 

 

 

If you cant see application data go to Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Hidden files and folders, Show hidden files and folders
