Guest scubasteve2490
Ok so almost 1 year ago my family's computer got a virus called DOWNLOADER so i tried to remove it but norton (our anti virus) couldn't do anything :wall: so what should I try to do? BTW: its located in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\st3.dll Note: I did not get it so dont say "Wow you're stupid for opening that in the first place." zonda
Safe-Mode. This is how lazy we've gotten at T&C :P What he means is: update your definitions for norton, then restart your computer. While it is booting up, hit f8 repeatedly until it asks how youd like to boot up. Select "safe mode" then scan with your anti virus and it should take care of it. Afterwards, restard your computer, download "Hijackthis" run it, save a log, and post it here so we can be sure your computer is clean. -sidenote- I think I am just going to bind some of these common things to a few macro keys, like the safe mode and what not speach we all give day after day :P ...
