November 6, 200619 yr Ok, so my avatar is.. non-existent and my post rate isn't exactly the most handsome. I only just registered. Give me some time to socialise :] Some of you may know, 'The Ecchoing Green' is a poem written by William Blake. We're studying him in English and for one piece of homework, we had to write a modern day version of it. Here's mine: The Sun that is the stranger, Does walk upon in danger. This land whre ghostly, church bells ring. And where the crows do squawk and sing. No fun is to be had or seen, In this Hell, called Ecchoing Green. Old John, who is naive and vile, Sits on his porch with a crooked smile. Fixated on the youths by the shop, Who drink and smoke, not skip and hop. None of this tragedy is obscene, Especially not on Ecchoing Green. Children, who's adolescence is nigh, Know more swear words than you or I. Children, who throw their childhood away, Will lead lives that are boring and grey. They come out at night, so as not to be seen, To terrorise citizens in Ecchoing Green. Rate/Hate, C/C.. or whatever. =] ~ Because death made me an artist.
November 6, 200619 yr Welcome to the forums, would have recommed reading and replying before submitting but there you go. Anway I liked the poem, never heard of it so it could be a direct copy, but I do like it. If you continue to produce work to this standard then you easierly are good enough to work here. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
