Need help with Temple of Ikov Quest

New member needs what is probably noob advice. Temple of Ikov seems straightforward, but when I "search the Lever for traps", I never ever find any... just get a message "You find nothing".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have been very careful to do everything prior (got the arrows and boots of lightness and pendant etc etc), and I con't go forward unless I can find and disable the traps associated with the lever. Has anyone else had (and/or solved) this problem???
