Help me with Itunes please :(.

Featured Replies

I'm having this problem where out of 2529 songs, only 2377 are going into the Itunes library. The missing ones are in the same folder as the rest. I've tried going file > add file to library - nothing happens.

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Have you made sure your music is not in either protected WMA format or some other format that iTunes does not support?

If you find that your files are protected WMAs then you can remove the protection by burning them to a disk with Windows Media Player and ripping them off again (using iTunes would be easiest). Alternatively there are programs around that will convert them, just Google.

If you still need help after this then providing more information on the songs in question will help people help you.

Nope, Itunes automatically converts most of the wmas into mp3s, it's just a seemingly random selection that won't go in.

I am aware that iTunes converts WMAs, but it doesn't convert protected WMAs, which is what I was trying to tell you before.

Even if they're not protected WMAs you're going to need to find something the files have in common if you're going to get anywhere.

Also make sure you're on the latest version of iTunes.
