Clown
This was written completely by me. As far as my sources tell me, this information is correct. The door was banged upon with a forcefulness suggesting a lightning bolt had struck. Heads turned, and mutters filled the air. This was not the first time something similar had happened, and each time it did happen, trouble ensured. The door was banged again. Sighing, the newest member of the congregation sat up, and opened the church to the open air. "You are a disgrace to us all!" Bellowed a short, angry women. Joshua grabbed the accuser and marched her outside onto the courtyard, closing the door as he went. This was a private confrontation. "Traitor! How dare you? Lavish yourself as a so called 'New Christen" with the knowledge that all of us refused to convert? Filth!" "Your finger would be better spent pointing at your own cowardice. You fled like sheep while we endured our beliefs being bludgeoned out of us!" Joshua snarled. "And how honestly can you still be stricken by this? Years and years have passed!" "Oh not for me, they haven't," The short women ranted. "We chose to escape from the evil force that threatened to annihilate our very religion! If that is not cause for fleeing, then I ask you, what is?" "Not everyone," Joshua muttered bitterly, "Had the luxury of escape. They seized me back when I was but 12 years of age! I had no choice, none!" "You have your luxury now," Grunted the women, "A blind man could see that. And anyway, my children didn't stand idle! They ran! Like the devil was behind them, they ran, and did you? Of course not! Let them lead you away like a drunk fallen tree, I heard." "I happen to have earned my right to my good fortune. Hard work, respect for those I dislike horribly, the sweat on my hands from long days of depression. I practically slaved my way up to where I stand now." Joshua spat the last few words out, as if he felt sick just by saying them. "I made the best of my situation." By this point, the people on the cobblestone street had stopped, looking with great interest at the heated conflict. Fights between the so called "Pure" Jews and the so called "New Christians" had become an event easily worth watching. "MY life," Joshua bellowed, "Has been determined by THEM! The Spanish! I live this way because they say so! That should be more then enough reason for you to let this matter die. All my old friends have become Christian, and still they are my friends. We are still the same people, nothing has changed." The pompous women started to say something, then appeared to flush with frustration and swallow them. She stomped her foot, and fumed for a moment or two. "It just," she said, with forced calm, "Makes us all quite̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæupset that you live such a rich life while we stay without money worth counting." "And the fault of that is mine? How is that calculated?" Joshua said, his old craft and roguish manner returning in a moment. He had learned the art of debate at a university, and he could deeply discombobulate his opponent in a matter of minutes, should he feel like it. "I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæI'm leavening. I have other appointments to make," The short women said. She stomped off, out the courtyard, and through the cemetery. ~
archimage_a
Interesting... Funny fact:- If you were caught by the Spanish Inquisition and claimed you were a Jew then they had no power over you because you were an Infidel. As such you could not be a Heritic, which is who the SI had power over. Infidel-someone who is worshiping the devil(Or something to that effect) Heritic-someone who is worhshiping a non-christian god. The church is full of these little loopholes. Anyway I thought it was good story although it was not gripping(It didn't have me going *Gasp*, *shock, horror* or *Hides behind seat*), it was just interesting, like watching a film you have seen before. Not much about it shocks you but you still enjoy it. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. Clown
Quite right, I was just bored and wanted to test the simple, dialog style. I felt it was worth sharing, as it showcases my creative writing that turned "Good" lol ~

O:) oh, and the RCC (Roman Catholic church) demands you put the a before non-christian God, into a the, heretic! Jews were infidels, but not because they worshiped the devil, but rather because they crucified Jesus... the RCC can't come to terms with that fact. Anyway, not the best of stories to my taste, and I think you misspelled confrontation. In fact you did... on the topic name... -.- -.- -.- I'll show you how terrifying a true Christian can be!It's Xewleer: ZEW le ar, got it memorized?Hermit of the Varrock Library and its proud guard. God only has a capital when it is being used as a noun, this is being used in the same way person is used. You do not say that is a non-christian Person. Jews are just people the church doesn't like. Like calling somone an idiot. Calling them something doesn't make them one. Anyway... http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
