archimage_a
From the bank you spy a man in the park. Dressed all in blue with a lighter trim, beneath one arm is a board, half hidden by cloth. You watch for a moment as he heaves onwards, trying not to drop the board, re-adjusting it every few paces. He finally arrives, a sweat across his brow, that you can see now that you have walked over. Is there something I can help you with? You ask. He turns around. You jump back half expecting to see a wizened wizard, in his place is a young man. Spectacles hooked on a beaded chain, slung beneath the hood, around his neck. There is actually. He says mysteriously before smiling knowingly and closing his eyes. You are about to ask or walk away, you havent quite decided which yet, when the face of the building beings to tremble. The old bricks flaking their moss covered shells and the mortar between them spreading to hold the smaller bricks. The board gently rises, a smoothed side, rising up further, hooking onto invisible latches. Falador Library it reads. Your eyes come back down to him. He has opened the doors and now stands inviting you in. You walk in the once humble building, replaced now with a vaulted hall that disappears, hidden from the light that shines from the torches either side of the door. Obscured by any number of bookcases, only a few filled. Tables before them, each stocked with paper and quills, charcoal and chalk. On the end of bookcases are posters, detailed drawings of different beasts, some you recognise and othersEither side of you are doors, only two and one has a thick bar across. The other, though, has Rusco engraved in a gold plaque. The man has begun walking into the main room, his footsteps clicking off the marble floor. He is heading towards a central circular desk. Come on, no need to dally. He says without looking back. You proceed hesitantly, the torches lighting as you walk close to them, revealing more cases, more tables. When he arrives he takes out a scroll from behind the desk, he holds it out to you. Welcome to Falador Library. The embassy of RPGs in Tip it. Feel free to peruse, to write and question. Of course though if you have an accent we are sure to be more understanding. 5. Death is not pretty, give your victim some warning. 6. Death without purpose solves nothing, death for robbery...that is against the law. The former will earn you a one way trip to death itself, where as the later will land you in a jail cell.
