Teachers Go On Strike Tomorrow!

(0 reviews)

The Teachers' Union in my school district has called for a massive strike after the school board has passed a motion stating that unions will no longer be recognized. With a large number of the teachers at my school in the union, the school should be pretty much empty.

Tomorrow's going to be pretty interesting.

Tis a pity that teachers need to join a union. For the most part, they're just big ripoffs that try to get more than they deserve. But for you, you might get lucky and get a few school days off  .

The superintendent is claiming that we'll still have school tomorrow, but I know that there's a LOT of teachers from my school alone who are in the union. Assuming that they don't wuss out, we shouldn't have enough substitutes. They will then either put us in the gym or dismiss us early.

Teachers are horribly underpaid. Good for them for going on strike.

Unions were once a good thing - they fought human rights violations and other abuses.

But now those are virtually absent, and unions just create economic inefficiency. Props to your state/district for trying to "unrecognize" them.

They're suing the school district now. I'm not sure if there will be a strike. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
