Need help with shadow of the storm(ritual part)

I really dont get it, ok i use this website a lot and i was doin shadow of the storm with this quest guide. it says that after you show the book to Matthew the ritual will start, but for me it didnt i was waiting there for 20minutes for the summoning to start. pleas, someone help me on this.
