Back in my first days of membership, I used to love playing castle wars. I would always listen to linkin park whilst doing so. :D
Anyways, not I just listen to whatever pops up on my playlist.

I doubt very much if this was anything to do with a sever crash.
In my view it's likely their Internet Service Provider (ISP) again.
This last happened on Jun 15 2007 (when Tip.It) last got bombarded by a record number of users online.
Andrew came and posted on Tip.It, I believe, to explain briefly what had occurred. It looks like their ISP needs reminding this kind of disconnection isn't good for their client's business. They might need to get a better ISP it seems; and could be time to get a new one if the contract for that ISP is up for renewal now (my guess anyway knowing most businesses get contracts for big ticket items).
I'm just searching to see if that thread is still around.
The signs are all there like they were last time, with only RuneScape Classic being accessible and the front page being visible. This must mean they've got a different connection for those features.
I know there's always Jagex staff in the building; Sunday it'd be 2 a.m. crew. This would never be much fun for the night-shift :(
The best thing we can do as players is take a break and hopefully connectivity will be restored as soon as practicable.
Only RuneScape Classic isn't online... :ohnoes:

Why Does it say only 100 hours of playing time on F2P?
I was wondering why it said this too. I'm sure I've spent more than 100 hours as ftp... :-s

Well, JaGex Is mostly concered for scam and real world trading sites. They did add RuneHQ (or MechHQ, I should say), and I have no idea why they didn't make a tip.it/mechscape... Maybe they like us?

Tip.it is owned by the creators of Tip.it. If the creators of Tip.it wanted to make a mechscape part of their site, then it would be up to them. Tip.it belongs to Tip.it.
If JAGeX wanted to, they could make a mechscape.it... but what would be the point?

What a weird bug. I just got to level 6 smithing on a newb throwaway account just to see for myself. #-o
So far I think it's the only skill that lets you do this. It'll probably be fixed by the morning if enough people send it in.

They have this in RS now. Just left click on the trade thing on the bottom of the RS screen.
Yup. I'm glad they came out with that update. It makes trading in populated areas so much easier. :D

Heh, interesting find there. On my newer accounts, I made sure to get leveled up to the max (3 at the time) in all possible skills before I left the island.
Keep us updated on how high it goes.

I remember... well I don't remember much of it, actually. I remember that we had a different homepage, but I just don't remember what it looked like. >.<
I started playing around 2003 methinks, so there have been a lot of changes. Maybe early 2004. I'm not sure. >.<
Edit: I remember my first time ever getting members though. I was asking all my friends about theiving, and how I was so worried that other people could steal from my inventory.

something like this happened to me yesterday, heres my short story:
i was loading a f2p world, and a new page popuped up, im like wow did i press something? The page loaded and some anti virus program said my computer might be in danger...and literally started "scanning" my computer right away. The scan took 10 seconds (lol) and it said i had 8 'issues' and told me to install it; i press no, then something else came up saying my computer is at risk if i dont close it. I pressed x on it. still didnt close. My real anti virus program, from windows detected a tojan, and deleted it.
im like..wow..
thats my story. its not safe lol
Exact same thing happened to me. I was stunned. It sucks that something like this'll happen, but eh, nothing is safe on the internet.

This is a pretty good idea altogether. I think though, that if it were something like, pay $6 or $7, and get a months worth of time [744 hours] then whenever you play, each hour an hour gets taken off. When you're not online, no time is taken off and you can end up saving your membership and it lasting much longer than a month, of course depending on how much you play a day, it would be much more appealing.
But yeah, good luck suggesting something like that to Jagex. #-o

No, Nadril is right.
Poorly edited screenshots is not what the Media board was meant for.
Images that take skill, time and effort are what people look for and will comment highly on.
And how is he meant to learn anything if every picture churned out gets 10/10 and people amazed.

Okay? Dude, I'm sorry, but I never asked for people to give me a "10/10" or ask them to be "amazed".. I just wanted to show people what I've done. You say a poorly edited sceenshot? How do you know that I'm not a newbie at doing things in Photoshop, wanted to try something I recently learned out on an image, and share it? Just because your standards say that this work looked like crap, dosen't mean everyone elses standards will say the same. I mean, someone might be just as inexperienced as I am in photo-editing and don't know how to make text fade... NOBODY wakes up in the morning and just becomes amazing at pixel drawing, or photoshopping.. I just wanted to practice a newly learned skill out on a screenshot I made with friends I met on RuneScape, with no way else to show it to them. [before I made this post, Darkace21 wasn't a tif user...]
To Nadril, you say that you are unimpressed by it, and that you want the Media board to have "some resemblance of quality"?.. The very least you could have done then, is tell me some way that I could have improved my work to make it 'deserve' to be shown...

i do have to ask one thing. where the hell IS this cooking guild? i notice one outside varrock but theres no bank in that at all...
btw could you change you title like chickybee32 i thought it was combat related...
The cooking guild is the one West of Varrock. After completing the hard Achivement Diary for varrock you can access a special bank in there.
In my opinion, it'll be always best to cook on the cook in Lubridge's range... It does burn the least in the game.... :D

So, earlier I was fishing away in world 99 along with a usual group of people. Amazingly, four people had Hellcats, and ended up making Hellcat circles around the fishing spots. I just decided to get people to make a circle with their Hellcats [including mine] around me and I took a screenie, and spruced it up with a little Photoshopping.
I guess this is what happens when you go fishing for Monkfish too long. :XD:
