  1. anyone wonts to hear some facts?

i do, so i throw these on the flour:

i did a simply math calc. and fond that 126 is the max lvl. why?

i took the xp to 99(13034000) and multiplyed it. then again and againand agian i got to the conclusion that with the max xp on 200m you get to 126( try doing the math youself and youend up the same result.

simply math gr8 answer. you cant get to lvl 200 126 is the max(every 7th lvl you xp multiplye  )

No, I don't think levels will ever go past 100

they can its simple rewritten te script. i even bet i could do it :D

and you can pot to over 100 so i dont see why the cap coundt be raised :-k

they said they couldnt do that without resetting all the characters, remember the Y2K bug? its similar to that. now, im not sure if they figured away around that, but thats what was said. perhaps it is easy and simple. but ill be waiting

What exactly happened during this "Y2K" bug?

  2. LOVE the update...

But it would be better if people on your clan list would turn a different color on the mini-map, similar to the team cape effects.

    9.9/10 Jagex

    Very much agreed.

But still, I'm also quite pleased with the results of all other aspects of the update.

    :D

  3. I believe that, when stated in the guide,

Capturing one of these more adventurous implings will give slightly more experience, but the possible loot remains the same.
    it is a little misleading.

If I am not mistaken, I believe that implings captured outside of Puro-Puro indeed do give the same items, but chances of getting decent(or better than usual) items are increased.

This is due to my reading of Jagex's article on the matter of Impetuous Impulses, which states:

Implings can be found almost anywhere in RuneScape, and because they're more spread out and more difficult to find, some of them have found some truly remarkable treasures. You'll need to keep your eyes open, but the elusive dragon impling is unlikely to be captured at home in Puro-Puro...

If I am indeed mistaken, I apologize for any inconveniences that I may have made. It just seemed a little foggy to me about what was meant to be understood by the passage.

  4. Well this will make d meds even more worthless... currently the only thing people want them for is to complete a full dragon 'set', but now they won't even be needed for that...

The trouble with these updates is that some ideas that strike me as being quite dumb get accepted... wtf mithril dragons? I'd always understood that Jagex didn't want to release a dragon stronger than the KBD because then he wouldn't be the KBD anymore. Oh well...

Everything else does look interesting though.

Umm... Well when you say King Black Dragon.... You would sort of think that he was the king over black dragons...

    =\

  5. Heh. There just trying to find an excuse to pull the plug on video games.

Computer entertainment people are most opposed to this new hopefull.

Good thing it was put down. A lot of people would be having a bad time. :P

I heard this on the radio [91.3 WLRN] yesterday, and just thought to put it up now.

    >.<

  6. Doctors backed away from a controversial proposal to designate video-game addiction as a mental disorder akin to alcoholism on Sunday, saying psychiatrists should study the issue further.

Addiction experts strongly opposed the idea at a debate held at the American Medical Association's (AMA) annual meeting. They said further study is needed before excessive use of video and online games ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ a problem estimated to affect about 10% of players ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ can be considered a mental illness.

"There is nothing here to suggest that this is a complex physiological disease state akin to alcoholism or other substance-abuse disorders, and it doesn't get to have the word addiction attached to it," says Stuart Gitlow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, US.

A committee had proposed that video-game addiction be listed as a mental disorder in the American Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders, a guide used by the American Psychiatric Association in diagnosing mental illness.

    Gamers Anonymous?

Such a move would ease the path for insurance coverage of video-game addiction. But, even before debate on the subject began, the committee that made the proposal backed away from its position, instead recommending that the American Psychiatric Association consider the change when it revises its next diagnostic manual in five years time.

While occasional use of video games is harmless and may even help with some disorders like autism, some doctors say in extreme cases it can interfere with day-to-day necessities like working, showering and even eating.

"Working with this problem is no different than working with alcoholic patients," says Thomas Allen of the Osler Medical Center in Maryland, US. "The same denial, the same rationalization, the same inability to give it up."

But Louis Kraus of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a psychiatrist at Rush University Medical Center, says it is not yet clear whether video games are addictive.

"It's not necessarily a cause-and-effect type issue," Kraus says. "There may be certain kids who have a compulsive component to what they are doing." (see Hooked: Why your brain is primed for addiction)

    Social deficit

Addictive or not, too much time spent playing video games takes away from other important activities.

"The more time kids spend on video games, the less time they will have socialising, the less time they will have with their families, the less time they will have exercising," Kraus says. "They can make up academic deficits, but they can't make up the social ones."

The AMA committee will consider the testimony and make a final recommendation to delegates who will vote on the matter later this week.

The Entertainment Software Association, which represents the $30 billion global video-game industry, said more research is needed before video-game addiction should be categorized as a mental disorder.

  9. A new bow has made its way to RuneScape from the shadowy dimension of the dark beasts. These dark bows are strange and dangerous weapons, designed to shoot two arrows at a time, even with the most powerful arrows. Its mysterious special attack deals massive damage, which is even more powerful if you use it with dragon arrows.

Dark bows can only be obtained from the dark beasts that lurk along the path to the Light Temple. Although it requires a level 90 Slayer to take on a dark beast, level 60 rangers can use these tradeable dark bows. The dark bow is also the only bow that can fire dragon arrows!

You also now have access to a new cavern where eight more dark beasts lurk, just at the start of the Light Temple path.

    Summary

Requirements to use the dark bow

    In other news...

H.A.M. clothing has been added to the items players can store in the armour case in their costume room. Players can now deposit their selection of H.A.M. clothes to free up some bank space.

Players can now see when they have achieved the maximum Kudos from helping out at the Varrock Museum.

The Fountain of Heroes in the Heroes' Guild will no longer recharge amulets of glory in their noted form.

Players can now move compost into all empty buckets in their inventory if they have sufficient compost in the bin. This is to allow players to more easily extract the compost for their Farming needs.

Players who've achieved a high enough magic level to cast Ice Barrage from the Ancient Magick Spellbook will be interested to know that we've fixed the requirements for casting to allow for combination runes. All other Ancient Magick spells already allow players to use combination runes, but it seems this one was missed off.

Players who are short on inventory or bank space can now drop wound up toy mice on free worlds. Prior to this, players could only drop the unwound version.
