i can't talk to the boy. too busy crying because i lost his toy ;P.. i guess i have to destory my gregree first to get a new?

I've come far into the quest, just became a monkey, but i used bones from a bigger monkey, and now i transform into a gorilla. I can't complete the quest becasue "you need to be a small monkey" says the seregeant. The question is, will i have to to this whole quest again? thanks in advance
