    Holy crap it's been almost 6 years since my last entry! Probably more than a year since I last logged in this site too.
     
    I've been talking to Senty recently and I told him I kind of wish I kept up with close friends I've met here and on RS. But over the years...well life happened and now I don't remember who's who haha.

    Tipitchat was the first of course but I lurked a lot back then.That was over two years ago. I didn't know anyone since I wasn't really active in the community. But when it got closed down, everyone flocked to Lightning cc. I decided to say hi to the chat and everyone said hi back, what a warm welcome :mrgreen: So I thought "yeah this is a good group." And they were. Sure it gets a little spammy or unruly or really really random. But I think that's what makes it special. Then one day, Lightning logged in. I'm like "oh cool, a really ancient RS player" and she gave me a bronze star. I know the reason why she gave me a rank is because I'm a player moderator. But star or no star, I felt like I belong. The I rose ranks, from bronze to silver then finally one of the few golds. I remember there were only 3 golds are usually in the chat: Fruit, Ami and me. Thehate pops in once in a while but he doesn't really talk much. It felt good being trusted with that rank. I remember it was only the golds who can recommend to Lightning who to rank. Since Fruit and Ami weren't really as active as me (those were my no lifing days haha), I pretty much called the shots then.
    And then there was a phase when Tipit made a poll asking which chat channel people go to. It was posted on the front page so even non-Tif users can see it. Non-regulars flocked the channel and asked "what does HYT mean?" (stupid poll <_< ) Regulars were then known as "pre-pollers" (everytime we say pre-pollers, Poller6 is like "what?" :-D ) and the people that joined because of the poll..well they called them noobs :^_^: At first it was annoying, people popping in out of nowhere asking what HYT means and are usually asking stupid questions. But then again, it gets boring talking to the same people everyday so I guess having new people around is good too. Sometimes it gets stressful when people talk about pokemon, guy stuff and other dumb things. So I go to BSC (Blogscape chat) to unwind. Senty asked my why I like hanging out there. I told him "Lightning's like my home, it's special but the people can get a bit dysfunctional too. BSC is like a bar I go to unwind before I go home."     Lightning closed down the chat because she quit RS (she left us for those damn hobbits) and I guess rumor has it some disgruntled former chat mod told lies about the chat and...yea you know what happened. The chat transfer was chaotic. Lightning left the chat to Pope Skills aka Evaded Faith aka Doom Tal (for crying out loud Pope, stick to one account!). People didn't like the idea of having him as chat owner...and well he got bashed so to speak. Half of the people went to Xecer's chat, others stayed with Pope. I went into Olly's chat just for the lulz. But I guess people never knew (now you know) that I actually created a back up chat called "Thunder CC." Only a few people knew of this, my closest RS friends. But we all know who got to be the official unofficial Tif chat owner :^_^: Ami's a fun person and I really liked FSM cc. Though there were some "unruly" chat mods, it was a fun place. But of course it's different from pre-poll Lightning.
     
    Sometimes when FSM gets all spammy, some of us would hop to Pope's chat. We called it "Adult Swim." Tay aka The 1 U Luv was the ring leader (she's more evil than me). I liked that chat a lot :) It was always funny and rarely got spammy. And I guess it's because we learned then that all of us had something in common: we all liked Fire Emblem haha ^_^
     
    Then there's me.Third generation Hyt chat owner. When Ami stepped down, I told them I'd ask Sheynara to become the next chat owner. But that noob said no because she's busy with DX and other stuff (I love that noob <3: ) I was gonna ask Sluggy too but I remember her saying she's busy with IRC etc. <3: I even thought of asking Sunli if she wants it haha ^^ Then I figured, oh well Pret's gonna do a good job. I was gonna tell the chat but then Jimmyw3000 aka Jimdog or Dog came in demanding for his P2P tour. I promised the dog I'll take him around P2P Runescape if he buys membership. The dog did and I stalled for like a week before I gave him the tour. It turned out to be a mini ex-FSM chatters and Dog was like "THIS WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A PRIVATE TOUR!" Gf dog, gf. So we started at West Ardy and walked to Dragontooth Isle (Jimmy was always missing and I think he even died twice?). During the trek I was in FSM cc waiting for the others to come so we can vote on which chat we'll go to. I looked at the list and saw that no one from the tour was in the cc. So I went in Jugniz's cc, to Mungo's and to Jimdog's. Then I checked mine and was like WTF are you guys doing here?! They said they like my chat. Then other people started coming in. It felt weird. I mean sure I wanted to be on the running for the new chat owner. But I won't be nominating myself, that's just :-| and I know being chat owner's not that easy. Sure I know these guys but that's why I was afraid to take the cc. I knew they're an unruly bunch :lol: But yea, that's what happened. Now they're in my chat for God knows how long. Lightning lasted one year. Ami lasted one year. Maybe I should step down after a year too, who knows :P
     
     
    Pre-poll Lightning will always be special to me. It wasn't as spammy as post-poll Lightning, FSM and my cc. We actually had decent conversations then. I remember Dutch Dreams, that Eskimo dude (I forgot his full name!),Matis also use to like this girl Stephanie :P Olly only had one cape then and was training for his 99 hunter.I Had A Deal held the record for most number of kicks in an hour (44 tbh) and the never-ending battle between Sworddude, Deal and RSW44...well we joined in too once in a while. Gaara gave Jacob aka Kibbles his pet name, I called JRD kebbit and him calling me humus <_< Renderer and I use to rave on "Arabian 3." Lady Shahdie didn't have 99 mining then haha! RSW was still mining his ess and gold back then, I got 99 hunter in 25 days. Pret was still using La Raza07 (or whatever number), Plastic Poet liked the name Sergio. My D3stiny was number 12 in the Hunter highscores (thanks for teaching me how to hunt). Who'd forget the most notorious spammer Aura Reigns, or the president of Olly's club Tdcm27? There's also the different Adam Rexicspam accounts. And then there was the BSC vs Lightning spam war. Then the TIF/Lightning vs Sal's (that was days before the steel war). We couldn't do anything back then since Lightning's never on. Hundreds of miskicks, mass kicks and kick for lulz. -FOR THE RECORD I NEVER KICK FOR LULZ-...though I did a mass kick once. We use to think Ermin was crazy bout planting thousands of snaps for 99 farming and his Yellowcard CD took forever to arrive. Chickybee, Shey and I use to play the Flash game. The "ello my luv" greeting (purepure and I) was from pre-poll lightning days. Epeeflecher and Dill had rap battles. I miss Epee...I never knew how old he really is. Supre Skills to Trobigod: "I r big slayer." Trobigod's still grouchy. Fook A Ji made Trobidog. Wongtong use to hang with us, now she's the the mighty Wongtong. I remember Fast Falkon. Then there was Fat Falkon. Giant Torti was loved by all, he always "plods around a bit" and shakes paws with you. Then there was Small Torti and Medium Torti. Da Latios was only level 99-100 back then. Malk already existed in Lightning. I read Spec's name as Awww Spec (0 0 Spec). A Lamber use to come in the cc before he became uh..crew?mod? idk lol. Lava Blade motivated me to get 99 hunter, I miss you come back to RS :( There was also Bonus Track aka Ogre (you're Ogre right?). Gilly was there too though I don't remember much about her. AND OMG SHE'S A GIRL <_< Gothic Gaara = pokemon. There's a bronze star from Lightning, I already forgot his name (shame on me) but he's one of the nicest people in the chat. He said he was gonna be busy with med school so he quit. If by any chance you're reading this, good luck to you ♥ Sheynara was a noob, and still a noob <3: Saskia Snow use to come in (I heard she's back, some to my chat!) Shazarabbit (was it double z?) use to hang there sometimes. I always get confused between Li Chef and Pen Chef. There was a Ramen chef back then too. Cappa Norra suddenly disappeared (where are you?), Mooch is still Mooch. Smellysocks was still smelly.Ultimo Hobo was already runecrafting then...but he still doesn't have 99 <_< Novablastt is hot haha. Hermon is still Hermon (my luv as well). Eric still like farting. Jimdog is still Jimdog. Plugpoint's still branding me up to this day :mrgreen:
     
    I've met A LOOOOT of people over those two years. I don't remember all of pre-pollers but I guess if I see them again, I'll know. Most of them have become my closest RS friends and I'm really happy I met them. Most of the smileys and ranked people in my chat are pre-pollers or at least from Lightning (the generals are pre-pollers except for Senty, he's from BSC but he's one of us now ;) or is he?). If I meet you guys in real life, I'll buy you a cup of coffee or have tea maybe? Yeah it's only a game, but to me those people are real people and my real friends.
     
     
    I hope, when I pass the chat to a new owner, she/he'll have fond memories of the past chats too.

    So yes, people might think it's stupid to this but this has been consulted and discussed with some of the ranked people of the cc and I have considered the consequences that could result from this.
     
     
    So without further adieu...*drumroll*
     
     
     
    The Hyt Chat Channel is now looking for one new chat moderator and this time, I won't be choosing who to rank. Instead YOU will be the one to decide who I will rank. Voting is simple, just pm the name of the person you think deserve to be chat mod to "twiley" or "Sentry_Wolf." Write "Modship" as your message title/topic please.

    This is one of the most shocking truth and probably one of the darkest secrets I've ever uncovered. After careful research with my colleagues (and a couple of shots of tequila), I, we have discovered that "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer," a popular age-old Christmas carol, is actually a song about jealousy, treachery and a love-triangle. Yes, it is that profound. So here's the lyrics that we all know:
     
    Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
    had a very shiny nose.
    And if you ever saw him,
    you would even say it glows.
     
    All of the other reindeer
    used to laugh and call him names.
    They never let poor Rudolph
    join in any reindeer games.
     
    "All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names" this is what most songbooks have. They toned it down so it'll be fitting for a Christmas carol. But what they really did here is to eliminate the name of one important Reindeer: Olop, Rudolph's cousin. It actually makes sense and I want you to sing it loudly:
     
     
    Olop, the other reindeer
    used to laugh and call him names.
    He never let poor Rudolph
    join in any reindeer games.
     
    Sure Olop may be a bad reindeer but removing him from history? That's a bit harsh don't you think? Where's the writer's Christmas spirit damn it?! And here comes the second part. This is the mainstream lyrics which of course was changed to make Rudolph look like a frikkin hero.
     
    Then one foggy Christmas Eve
    Santa came to say:
    "Rudolph with your nose so bright,
    won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
     
    Then all the reindeer loved him
    as they shouted out with glee,
    Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
    you'll go down in history!
     
    Then there's the love-triangle part. Again they toned it down for the lil kiddies who might be singing this song. And again, they removed one reindeer's name: "Olda." I want you to sing this loudly okay?
    Then Olda, reindeer, loved him
    as she shouted out with glee,
    Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
    you'll go down in history!
     
     
    Olop was mad at Rudolph because Olda was his girlfriend, that's why he "bullied" Rudolph. The truth is, he was just telling Rudolph to stay away from his girlfriend. But Rudolph kept coming on to Olda. In the end, Olda chose Rudolph over the poor Olop. But what Olda didn't know is that Rudolph is GAY. I mean why do you think Rudolph's nose is red? He was asking Olda to teach him how to put make-up on his nose that's why he was with her during that foggy Christmas eve. Olda, blinded by reindeer love, didn't think any of this and thought Rudolph was just being well..."expressive." Rudolph kept coming on to her just to use her as cover.
     
    This Christmas, whenever you sing "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer" with your family, or hear people singing Christmas carols, or see reindeer on cards or holiday art, I want you to think of Olop, the poor reindeer, who lost his [bleep]ty girlfriend to that treacherous bastard Rudolph. I want you to think of Olop, the reindeer who was supposed to go down in history but was robbed by that opportunistic reindeer named Rudolph.
     
    Remember Olop.
