is it random how long they last? i did 3 sc games which took 1 hour to get enough points to buy a tool and went mining and it lasted 14k!

i think right now is fletching maple logs into longbows, you can either string them or not it doesnt matter you still get profit, then at 70 you can fletch yew longbows. my friend is getting his 99 today off of fletching yew longbows from 70 to 99 do you make money turning yew logs into yew longbow (u) ?
