  1. Jagex fubared the economy by removing DFS/DFH and replacing it with arbitrary items that can be sold to an NPC for millions of geepees. Everything has gone up by 20-200%, and you can no longer protect item in PvP worlds. The non-pvp updates are the same old worthless crap aimed at level 60s.
Whoa, so let me get this straight the DFS is GONE? like it's just not there anymore, or was it made into an untradable state that can be sold to an NPC, I'm not really following here. Prices went up? I can't say I'm surprised about that, as they seemed to have dealt pretty good with the autoers and sellers of Runescape. By not protecting items does that mean others can get them? or you just can't use the "protect item" prayer. That's sad to hear about the updates, I figured with the way they seem to have been listening to the community right before I left that the updates would have been better, but apparently they haven't.

Like someone else said, DFS isn't gone, just removed from the PvP drop table. New "artifacts" have been introduced to replace the other drops, which are sold to an NPC for anywhere from 5K-5M cash, creating massive inflation in the RS economy. For protecting items, bounty hunter worlds have been introduced, which is basically old PvP except with randomized drops but you can have targets which give increased loot. So, on specific bounty worlds (bounty +1 worlds) the effects of the protect item pray are always active, and you keep the item no matter what. For other bounty worlds and all the PvP worlds, you can no longer use protect item. Just a quick clarification.

Anyways, I remember seeing you around, never talked to you though. But yeah, I wouldn't come back now, basically you do the same stuff as last year, nothing major excepting run energy update BH worlds, and something else I can't remember, meaning its still not that important.

thanks for that! Very useful stuff, I wasn't planning on coming back, either way updates never much applied to me anyways as I was merely a skiller for the most part

    Hi wakka!

Rs sucks lately. I, myself will probably unsubscribe really soon if the remainder of the year is drier than the current updates we have gotten. The Tip.It community is still good, just deteriorating a bit. If you're thinking about coming back to rs, don't. Iam sad to say it's not even worth 6 bucks a month anymore.

That's terrible to hear, but I can't say I'm that surprised, some of the key aspects of the game that Jagex implemented from day 1 have brought about some serious problems now, years down the road, and I'm not sure if some of it can be fixed. I wasn't planning on coming back, just saying hi to all my friends and making it known that I'm still alive and kickin'

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAKKAAAAAAA!!!!

    Supp.

    Howdy! I don't remember you being a tip.it mod :P
  3. Hey everybody! I haven't been on Runescape or these boards in quite some time. Most of the people who have been around these forums for at least 6 months probably have seen me before. I stopped playing Runescape a few months back and have been quite busy in the real world. I am posting simply to ask how everybody (that knows me) has been, to say hello to all my old tip.it friends that I hope haven't forgotten about me, and to see what sorts of things I've missed out on in Runescape this summer! Currently I don't plan to play and I leave for my first year of college at Georgia Southern University tomorrow, which I'm excited about :P . I currently run a youtube channel where I record console games, which I won't plug here because thats rude, but if someone wants to know just drop me a PM. I'll try to check the forums more regularly that I have been.

But to all my old tip.it friends, who are quite numerous, tell me how things have been, are going, and whats in store for Runescape ::'

  4. hey guys, some of you may know me from around Runescape or my many years here on the forums. I recently have started up a youtube channel between me and my best friend from highschool. We are doing many things with the channel but our primary objective is doing game playthroughs with live commentary. If you look around youtube you'll find many people that do this. We use a device to record the video and audio from the game and another device we are using to record live commentary to catch all of our reactions in the game. Currrently we have a full playthrough of Bioshock we have uploaded and are working on Luigi's Mansion (an underrated game by far!). So if your ever boreed and looking to kill some time, check it out, subscribe, and pitch me ideas of games you think we should do!:

Hi everybody, this is the youtube channel for my band, infinity on trial, I founded the band a few months back and we've been working on a few songs. Currently we have two original songs (Martyrs, and Rectify) and a cover of Demon(s) by Darkest Hour. This is probably my favorite hobby at the moment, working with my band, so I'd be thankful if you'd check it out and give me some feedback. Keep in mind if you do not have anything constructive to say then don't waste my time as well as if you don't like Metal AT ALL don't listen to it, we tried to take a more "Killswitch Engage" style to our music so I think it will appeal to others as well as hardcore heavy metal fans as it includes by hard hitting parts and slow melodies. We also don't stick to any single time signature because thats very boring, the intro to martyrs is in two different time signatures. The recording quality is rather poor on the videos but you get the gist of it.

The Recordings on our myspace are much higher quality (still not perfect) but we recorded those with a homebrew recording studio we set up. Rectify is still in the early stages but Demon(s) and Martyrs are pretty much set in stone at this point.

so check it out if you would and let me know what you think

  8. Does this work on a macbook? See, because it is a laptop, you don't have the keys on the right, and the regular numeral keys do not work with mouse keys turned on. What buttons do you use? I know that 7, 8, 9 and a couple letter move the mouse, but they don't move the mouse enough for it to be efficient. You literally have to hold the button down, and a regular mouse would be much more efficient. I know you have no experience with this, Wakka, but I was hoping someone may have been able to solve this problem on their macbook.
I'm not sure what your trying to say. If you are referring to the mac mouse that is a single click, yes you'll want to get one that has right and left click. the ctrl key on a PC is the modifier key that allows the mousekeys to function, if you don't hold it down the number keys should still type numbers. All I did with my keyboard is relocate some of the keys on the normal keyboard to a spot that was more easily accessible for me to use. It can still be done on all computers.

I understand what you did on your keyboard, and on my mac laptop, I have a two click mouse. My problem is that since it is a laptop, the keys you would normally use for mousekeys, on a regular PC, are on the right side of the keyboard. On a laptop, these buttons do not exist, there are only the numeral keys that are above the letters on the keyboard. When I turn on mousekeys, and hit control on any of those numbers, there is no reaction. I read in earlier posts that you have to hit the fn button, which I did. When doing that, the 7, 8, and 9 button move the mouse, but not in the method you described. It moves the mouse ever so slow, therefore it is not efficient. I tried to hit every single key, and none of them really seemed to skip to the right spots, like described, they just slowly move the mouse.

Has anyone encountered this and know how to make mousekeys work on a macbook laptop?

Check back in your settings. I'm not familiar with using a laptop for this but I can't imagine it wouldn't work.

  10. I'm surprised they made such an easy skill as prayer more easy. What they need to do is make harder skills a little more useful. Also, many of the older skills need a complete overhaul and new additions, such as mining. Mining hasn't had a major update in as long as I can remember.

  11. Nice to see you back leading the cult that is your blog ;)

Between you and runescapew44 i always have something awe inspiring to look at, as always GREAT JOB! \'

I'm flattered, and whats is that a character named runescapew44 or do you mean world 44? if so whats in world 44 lol
