what combat lvl should i be b4 doing dragon slayer???? im only lvl 47 combat. Is that good enough??

for me, i just kill hill giants and collect big bones and sell them. i also used to fish lobster and sell it. i think selling rune ess is a waste of time unless u can mine pure. i can't because i am not member

Im not sure whats a better deal, a rune chain or pl8 because obviously I would get the pl8, but I have to do dragon slayer. On the other hand, all I need to do is buy the chain and equip it. Help me out.
