  1. Ummm... If you dc that's pretty much a %100 guarantee you're dead, correct? I really want to use this guide, but I dc oftennnn.

And about how long does one trip take? (3k casts)

Wouldn't recommend bursting with a bad connection but you wouldn't necessarily die if you Dc'd. From what I've heard it's about 600-800 cast per hours so it would take at least 4 hrs per trip.

I was planning on barraging with sol and battle robes. How long does it take for each 1k casts?

Probably take you an hour and a half.

How many casts do battle robes last until they degrade?

Never used them, not a big mini game person maybe someone else can help you.

missing SoL and battle robes, not new news im guessing lol

tip, if u want to spend the money, buy a god cloak insted of a god cape, it has slightly less mage attack but +3 prayer.

anyway, what would be the best shields to bring.

obviusly an arcaine ss would pwn, but besides that what should i take? time of frost (i dont have it but im planing to anyway), mage book? ect.

also for ammys, whats better: arc stream or fury?

I'll add SoL now and check out Battle Robes. From what I remember Mage book is generally the one you want if you can't afford Arcane. As for the Fury vs. Arc Stream it really depends on whether you need the +4 Mage bonus from the Arc stream or not. I don't think the +15% mage damage the Arc stream has effect all the lobs your bursting, probably just the one your attacking. So it's just if you want the extra +4 mage the Arc stream gives or all the Defense bonuses you get from the Fury.

  2. I'm thinking of using my triple charm from familiarisation here.

The guide, however, lists a method that depends on both efficiency and longevity. Can anyone recommend me an outfit that maximises DPS for a small period of space (40 minutes).

    I have access to:

Extreme potions (no super prayer/overloads though), SOL, Ahrim's set, Mystic's set, Unicorn Stallion, imbued rings (of any kind) and all the assortment of high leveled jewels.

    Thanks in advance!

The problem is once you increase your mage bonus past a certain point (+90 I think) it doesn't help you hit any better because the lobs are so weak to mage. So the only way to help you kill faster since your on a time limit would be potions and % boosting gear like SOL. Maybe someone else can help you more...

  3. Safespot mentioned in the guide doesn't work anymore. Now you have to just catch them on the end of the same rock but they will not come down if you go right and left in that area, and if they do come down there will be no place where they get stuck for a safespot. You have to go up a bit and when the drops come you have to pray when they respawn so you don't get owned. Either that or you can use the ladder or one of the rock walls near the ladder.

that spot is fine if you pick up loot quickly, before they spawn. However you can instead stand one step to the right of the one in the guide, luring the lobs round the corner by standing a step left from the lobs' position in the guide. Looting like this you won't get spawned on, but if the one to the north of you dies first and spawns before you fnish killing he'll be on you (doesn't happen 90% of the time)

Haven't been there in a while but what Icarium says is how I remember it so I'm gonna go with what he said. Thanks for all the replies and data everyone, I'll get around to updating the guide later this week. Finally got some free time :P

  4. I get my 5th 99 skill with Farming, Yea it's taken me a while, What Of It!?!?! Lol I had a bunch of pictures of Achievements along the way like 92 Slayer and 2000 Total but almost all of them got lost when my laptop died about a month back. Anyway instead of doing a whole bunch of pictures (I'll put a few at the end) I've decided to make a list of events that have happened during the 6 Months or so that I have been leveling this skill. Kind of a way to show how much stuff can happen over what seems like such a short period of time, plus I just thought it would be fun.

World/RS Events that happened during my goal of 99 Farming:

    - Tiger Woods was only known for his great golfing exploits back when I started this goal. (How could I not have this here)

    - Kobe Bryant finally won an NBA title without Shaq. (I know I never thought this would happen)

    - Michael Jackson died at the age of 50. (That's ignorant, your all so ignorant)

    - High level herblore potions were released (my favorite update for the past year :P)

    - Water was discovered on the Moon after NASA launched a satellite crashing into the moon's south pole.

    - Swine Flu became the first condition since 1968 to be deemed a global pandemic.

    - Bill Clinton meets with Kim Jong-il and successfully negotiated the pardoning of two American journalists.

    - And finally I lost a 99 Farming race to Metoo1000 with a 3 Million Exp head start. (One of the low points in my RS career :P, moral of the story - never challenge Metoo1000 to anything, you will lose.)

I'm aware there are many more events for the past six months or so, these are just the ones I decided to choose. Hopefully they give you some perspective on how long I've been working towards this, and now for some pictures :P.

    Me actually getting 99 Farming.

99 Farming message along with my total level (just above 2k)

My skillcapes and the farming emote.

Oh and I actually did farm 50+ Spirit Seeds getting 99, had a picture of the seeds but like most of my pictures it was on my old laptop.

  5. First of all great guide, I have been using it for a little while now working towards getting 88 summoning. I noticed something about the guide you may want to change, or maybe add a quick note. The god cape adds +10 magic attack, and the Ardy (3) diary cape adds +6 magic/prayer bonus, it depends on how you use your prayer obviously, but the extra prayer bonus I think makes it better. Just wanted to add that.

Good call I'll add that in, pretty sure there's some other new stuff I need to add as well.

  6. Still can't get that Diaby own goal out of my head, I stared at the TV in disbelief for about 10 minutes. Devastating lose they were clearly the better team at the Old Trafford, hope the Gunners can pick themselves up for Cash City in a couple weeks.

  7. nice guide, just what I was looking for.

A questions : 1) how much would it cost me for Ahrim top and bottom and runes to burst for 800 crimsons? I'm only asking cos I can't work it out from your data =/ ??

    2) how much Mage exp could I expect?

Bearing in mind I may use the other room with only rock lobsters or if not, the 7 spot near the ladder.

    1) About 6.4m, 3m for the skirt and top, 3.4m for the runes (3k casts).

    2) Around 550,000exp from the 3k casts.

  8. Yea shame about Rosicky but after such a long time away from the game it was really almost expected that he'd pick up a minor injury at some point during first half of the season. Just sucks it came right before the season started. Only positive is we might get to see Wilshire start some early games now :D

  9. There are a few out this year already that I was looking forward to, but no need to put them here. So here we go:

Brüno - It's been edited twice now, once to make it more gay friendly (even though the movie is about making heterosexual homophobes uncomfortable) and then again to get rid of a Michael Jackson joke. Should boycott it until DVD just for the censorship, but I still really want to see it.

Funny People - Could be pretty hilarious, this one I might wait for the DVD though. Apatow, Sandler, Schwartzman, and many others.

Bakjwi - I've still only seen two Chan-wook Park movies, loving the first one I saw (Oldboy), finding the second one just interesting (I'm a Cyborg, but that's OK). This one is following the vampire craze, still could be good though.

Distric 9 - First saw the preview for this months ago, I think before seeing Push. For some reason at that time I got it in my head that this was a Danny Boyle film, and I've been telling everyone that ever since. Just checked it out though and Danny Boyle has absolutely nothing to do with this that I can tell. So who knows where that came from, anyhow I am still really looking forward to it.

Gake no ue no Ponyo - Hayao Miyazaki has been hit and miss for me, but more hit so I am kind of looking forward to this one also. Don't usually care for English dubbing, but it is the only option if I want to see it in theaters.

Inglourious Basterds - You all know about this one already.

Extract - All I should have to say is Mike Judge. But I might as well name drop a few more: Mila Kunis, Jason Bateman and Kristen Wiig.

9 - First saw the preview for this about a year ago I think. Looked pretty awesome, has a pretty good voice cast so here's hoping. Director and Writer are both fairly new though.

Pandorum - Could turn out to be generic horror, could turn out to be a copy of Event Horizon, but then again it could be good. Probably will wait for DVD on this one though too just because of not knowing.

Zombieland - Bill Murray and Amber Heard, plus zombies. Yeah, this is going to be great.

Sherlock Holmes - RDJ and Guy Ritchie, neither have disappointed yet.

EDIT: Looking back over the topic I missed two: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus because it wasn't on the previews part of IMDb, and The Road because I just missed it. IDP is Terry Gilliam, and even though I didn't like the last movie of his I saw at all (Tideland) I have still liked most of what I have seen. The Road I want to see, but as soon as you put post-apocalyptic in a description I am there anyways.

Will have to look out for the Chan-wook Park film loved Oldboy. Can't believe I forgot about The Road though just read the book a few weeks back, think that might make me hate the movie but I still want to see it. Also District 9 is being directed by Neil Blomkamp, it's pretty much his first big time movie just a few shorts other then that. Peter Jackson is signed on as a producer though. They were supposed to be making the Halo movie but it fell through so they ran with District 9 instead.

  10. Well it's like halfway through the year but I guess this topic could still work. Generally the best movies come out second half of the year anyway. So what movies coming out this year are you most looking forward to seeing?

    For me:

    1. District 9 - Sci-Fi film about an Alien ship that has become stranded on earth in South Africa. The government force them to live in slum-like conditions and keep them sectioned off from from other humans. This is easily the movie I'm most looking forward to being a big Sci-Fi fan and having watched the directors short films I think this movie has the potential to be amazing. Here's the only trailer they have released so far if anyone is interested: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi262144537/

    2. Shutter Island - Wasn't the biggest fan of his last film big film The Departed but it's still Scorsese. Murder mystery on an island with an Insane Asylum seems interesting enough :P. Anyway the trailer is quite good check it out: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3052536345/

    3. Inglorious Basterds - Tarantino's first movie since Death Proof in 2007 and one he's been wanting to make for a lot longer then that. Brad Pitt plays the leader of a group known as "The Basterds" who are sent on a mission in WWII to spread fear by brutally killing Nazi's. Trailer isn't as good as the first two in my opinion but still worth watching: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1860895257/

    4. A Serious Man - The Coen Brother's rarely disappoint let's hope this isn't one of those times. Don't know to much about the film other then it's a black comedy period piece set in the Midwest. No trailer on this one sorry.

    5. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - Made by one of my favorite directors Terry Gilliam, it has some big name actors and seems like the kind of movie that Gilliam was made to direct. His ability to create visually stunning scenes and make incredibly imaginative movies seem real will be great for this particular movie. This would be higher on my list but it doesn't look like it's being released in the US anytime soon so it's down here for now.

Few others as well but I'll leave it at that.

Being a big movie buff I'm interested in hearing what you all want to see show post away.
