  1. Lets look at it economically, clearly, supply is outstripping demand, hence the reason it takes seconds to buy a lot of things, but there are a few things that won't sell even on the lowest price in the range. All the while, people are buying at the lowest end, because there are a queue of sellers, thus reducing the market price (albeit it slowly), to a level where the sellers would rather keep the items, and slowly an equilibrium is reached. This brilliant addition from Jagex provides all traders with 'perfect information' and from now on, when prices have settled, there should be very few upsets to prices, barring updates. It will also cut out some of the supernormal profit that merchants were gaining from impatient sellers like me, who will always sell at the lower end of the market price, because I want cash quick, and time is money. Merchants will be seeing less of my impatient money, because they now have to queue up buy goods with all the regular players, and their devotion to trading will no longer serve them, because now all players are effectively 100% devoted to trading, given that we don't even have to be online to be partaking in it.

  2. It's a little known fact that there are 24 hours in a day, so I'm interested how do you allocate your time?

There are a couple of obvious things:

Sleep, for one, but how much time is a different matter, I know for a fact there there are some TIF users that have strange (to me) sleeping patterns.

Work/study, because i guess this is going to be the second largest group, but maybe the most despised.

Leisure time, everybody needs time to relax, or do they?

Because my weekdays and weekends are so different I'm going to do one for each.

    Weekday:

    Sleep - 7 hours

    College - 8 Hours

    Eating - 1 Hour

Procrastinating (involves reading fora, watching small amounts of TV) - 4 Hours, interspersed with...

    College Study - 3 hours

Watching TV in my bed(otherwise i can't get to sleep) - 1 hour

    Weekend:

Sleep: 8 or 10 hours. (saturday and sunday respectively)

Work: 8 or 6 hours. (saturday and sunday respectively)

Doing nothing at home(TV, fora, video games) - 4 hours

Socialising - can be 4 hours varies each weekend, but if I'm not doing anything, it'll be revision for Januray Exams)

Please enlighten me with your day!

  3. The only problem with this is that they are not always 100% accurate and sometimes say things like "if you don't know what it is delete it", and most users here don't know what it all means.

I do use their website, mainly to stay on the good side of the Tech forum Gods, but i just deal with things that are pretty much definately bad, and use google (which can be equally inaccurate) to look up other processes or get a second opinion.

  4. Your website looks nice, you obviously have good artistic skills (which i don't), but its not very sound technically. You have too many images, and its all done in tables. If you are committed to becoming a good web designer, you should learn CSS at the same time as HTML, and also try to code with the W3C specifications in mind.

You are doing well so far, but those would be my next steps.

And it is a shame about freewebs, half the time when i refresh it says that it can't find your page. #-o

  5. Yes, post a HiJackThis logfile, it will tell us everything that is currently running on your computer, things you may not be able to see from the task manager (ctrl-alt-delete), and that could be running as background processes, monitoring your keystrokes.

  6. That d2 looks very good, but they don't seem to have meny clients, and they only have two servers that i can see. The amount of access they give looks really good, because i don't get alot of stuff they allow and i pay extortionatly more than their prices.

I'd say you can't really go wrong paying that much a month :anxious:

  7. Editplus is excellent, it won't make you lazy like dreamweaver where you can move things in the 'non-mark-up view', it just allows you to see how a browser would display it. There is a trial version, and you can choose whether or not to buy it after that, it won't just stop working, but it will ask everytime you open it if you don't contribute.

    http://www.editplus.com/

I believe you can thank Merciful for this because he recommended it here first.. if i'm wrong, sue me.. :P!!

  8. Whilst i agree, that alot of MMORPG's have both better trading systems and better unique items, for the latter case in particular it would require a rehaul of the whole game.

From my small experiance of other MMORPG's, it is possible that other, bigger problems can occur from different types of trading. In particular, in SilkRoad, people can set up stalls where they put the price up for a value and people can buy it, like a normal runescape store, they stalls can be made anywhere but are mostly made in large cities which have the most traffic. I can see no reason why this would not work, but SilkRoad faces a massive problem in that because people afk and leave their stalls open all night, other players can't get on because the servers are too full. I would rather play with a less effective trading systems that not play at all.

And maybe if Jagex were to make Runescape 3, they may include items that differ slightly in stats, and maybe ways to upgrade them, but i can't see it happpening in this version.

  9. I just bought my first car on saturday just gone ^_^

I got an S Reg Ford Fiesta 1.3 for ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã1695.

It should give me a larger incentive to pass my driving test, and although it isn't the fastest car, it will be good for my commute to college.

How bad is insurance in other countries, my 3rd party fire and theft is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã1440, almost as much as the car :'(.

  10. Scientologists do not believe in psychology or psychiatry.

They have also allegedly refused treatment for a seriously ill scientologist who could was not in a fit state of mind, and she consequently died. Look up Lisa McPherson.

  11. Scientology can be considered a sect or a cult, there is evidence for both.

Cult is a word used by the media for both cult and sect, they use the word because implies negative connotations.

Because of this, Sociologists use the term New Religious Movements, and identify different types of NRM as:

    World Affirming

    World Accomodating

    World Rejecting.

Look up Wallis' Typology for more info on that.
