Yep my college took part in the Sport Relief mile, although we didn't do anything involving socks #-o .
Because there is a large park next to the college we were able to walk around that twice to make the mile. Some people ran, some walked, some did 3-legged walks, and some piggy-backed it.
Twas a good day.

Bandits Of The Acoustic Revolution - Here's to life.
Really like it, and if i had to describe it, it would be 'a journey'. The song was originally done by Streetlight Manifesto (i think), but as you may have guessed it is done acoustically by the Bandits, which i think adds to the epic'ness.
Off Topic:
If anyone knows, if a band gives express permission to distribute their music freely, would i be aloud to post links to the music, or is it still illegal? It's just that this band alows their music to be shared for free, but their site is no longer working properly to my knowledge.

I could have gone on Monday but what with the heat and not buying tickets beforehand i didnt.
My parents did go and they said it was good even though they didn't get to watch any 'Internationally known' players.
And I'm not really rooting for anyone to win this year, I haven't made up my mind whether i really like Nadal or not, so I supose I'm hoping Hewit will do it.

Now I have an HTC Alpine, a.k.a. O2 XDA2i/Qtek 2020i/some other things depending on the provider:
I beleive that they are officially changing to HTC (in england at least)pretty soon, but i always know them as QTEK.
I have a Nokia N70, and whats funny in reading this old thread is seeing a couple of people with K750I's, which are still a highly respected phone, even a year after released.
Given the current market i would purchase the Nokia E60
just because a phone should just be a communication device, and this is able to do some decent data communication and the battery life is amazing. They say the phone will be the new Nokia 6310i.

I don't mean to try and discredit your choice but IMO you pay a lot of money for a phone with few features (no video capture, no expandable memory, etc) and a bad camera (VGA).
The only reason i can see for buying the phone would be the love of the design, and i agree it does look quite nice, if a little big even when in its 'closed state'.

Well that really depends on what your definition of good is.
I take it that you meant you didnt want 'generic' sig, but a more personal one. Well by nature, they are harder to get, in my opinion, if you want one that no one else has, you can
a) Learn how to use an imaging prgramme well (may take a while)
B) Get someone to make one for you as a favour, either someone from the boards ofr a graphics forum, but i wouldnt advise joining one and demanding someone do something for you, because you have not contributed anything to the community.

To protect your devices and MP3 players:
Works wonders. There was a video review I saw where a guy took a key to his Motorola Q with the above protector on it - not a single scratch. Now that it's protecting my Vision:M I can verify this - it's nigh unscratchable, like a thin layer of jelly almost, soft yet protective. Very good if you don't want to tote around a large case.
Sold. They look Godly.

Black iPod Video 60gb for me. Had it a month maybe, and its never let me down.
I have also got a Blue iPod mini from 2 Christmas's ago, and it is still going strong.
I love the space i have and the screen is decent.
I still take off the iSkin just to admire the beauty of it, I am trying really hard not to get it scratched at all, but alas it is inevitable. :cry:

You will need to learn how to use sessions (or cookies, to a lesser extent) & Interact with a MySQL database.
And please do not miss out data validition, which is basic security so that people cant get into your site by 'altering' search criteria. Good place to learn...

Thank you, I was just really asking if anyone currently uses any and can say there good and bad points etc!Oh and, Yes i currently use one for a little project i have.
Bad thing is that it requires a whole different way of looking at web-design, as soon as you give people the chance to submit their own data, you have to place Security as #1 importance. Before this you may have never thought that the user may be malicious, and it gives them a chance to 'abuse' your lack of experiance/knowledge.
But i supose that this oppurtunity to learn new things can be seen as a good thing!

I'm going to Turkey (like the guys above) to my mates villa for a week with 4 friends (first time going away with friends),and it's over my birthday. Cannot wait.

I am also a ska fan, I used to like LTJ before they got all pop-y, Reel Big Fish, Buck O Nine, Mustard Plug, Farse and Ska P.
The Killers? Alternative? You've got to be joking.
Isn't that their tagline, i would hate to call them indie, because they release music into the charts and have a record label, and doesn't indie mean independant?
And yeah Ska music is really good, I was searching through old posts for RBF and saw that Ghost went to a show once, must have been amazing.

In refernce to the 2 Anti Virus programs, I always say to get rid of Norton, its way too controlling, over protective about the wrong things and just because it has a successful brand name suffers from inefficiency because its primary customers arent that computer literate and will do what they are told.
What i would do if i was in your situation:
Download, Spybot: Search And Destroy
and Adaware if you don't have them already,
as accumulated spy/adware can take its toll.
I could say to buy 256mb of ram to use because i think 512mb of ram is enough for most people, but that may not work, i have heard that celron processor's are eternally bad and slow (i think they put them in laptops commonly) so that may be your problem and you'll need another processor because no amount of ram can save you.
By the way I'm not at all a tech-headl, i just try to keep my computer secure and relatively fast, i don't know half as much as some other people that have posted, but i feel i might be able to give better advice because i am more at your level of knowledge :)

Jagex hasn't made an in-game update in a long while (excluding Royal Trouble). They are really dropping the ball.
They update every Monday, yesterday was a Bank Holiday in England, which means that office hours are technically closed. If they update today, they will have kept their routine of updating every week.

Everyone on this board secretly likes Kelly Clarkson mate :shock: :lol: .
And i like Ska (Streetlight Manifesto & Reel Big Fish being favourites).
However i hate to define Reel Big Fish to one genre, as I don't beleive they conform to one genre entirely.
I like Less Than Jake, who are i supose are Ska, but maybe soft-punk-rock.
I like some Alternative (The Killers, Kasabian).
And thats about it, but i don't mind 90's Rap.

You will also need a prgram that converts the .mov or .wmv 's to .mpg4 or whatever it is that iPod's take. I would recommend this, i use it, and it is very good for the job IMO.

In my opinion, there are always people arguing over which languages are best, there is a rarely a consensus agreed.
It really depends on what you want to do, the examples you gave are quite varied. If you have a specific goal in mind, tell us and we might be able to give you advice.
I would also sugggest (if you havent already) read the 'Programming, it flat out baffles me' thread on this board, BTTF_Man outlines some good points.

Well newer nokia's come with Nokia Pc Suite to put media onto and take it from your phone, but based on the age of the 6230 i'll guess that it didnt come with that.
As for WAP, i've heard of putting things on your phone via WAP, but not uploading them to your computer.
My advice is to find a friend who has PC Suite and bluetooth the videos to them, and have them email you them or upload to a website.

Thats how i learnt basic HTML/CSS darkrick, but that's very hard to do with PHP because its Server Side.
PHP is a very easy language to learn IMO, but you have to know what to do with it first, I don't think theres a point in learning a language just generally, its how i lost interest in C++.
I was driven because i wanted to make a PHP game, and part of my learning process was downloading games and messaging systems from Hotscripts.com and looking through the source, just like DarkRick said, unfortunately, you can't get too much stuff for free.

I collect Coins. 1p 2p 5p 10p and 20p. Everytime i have any of these coins they go right into my jar. Last time i counted i had ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã77.
I know some of you may say 'we all collect money' etc, but i don't plan on cashing it in, it looks really cool to have them all in my room. O:)
