How can you cross to the lighthouse from the Barbarian Outpost Agility place? I've seen people do it so I know it can be done, but it never lets me.

What are crossbow trees for? They are on Karajma and if you examine them it says "Looks like a way to cross". I have tried using a rope on them but nothing happened, anybody know how to use this shortcut?
