I would have to agree with the poster. I really dislike it. Some are okay for really long words. But when you start abbreviating words by knocking of one or two letters it makes you look like an idiot. I mean how long does it take to add two more letters; seriously. (Pl8= Plate) It's just two letters people! It's really not going to take that much out of your playing time! Let's see how much time it would really take. (Now I know not everyone types at the same speed so that's why the time is low.) Time it takes to type "Plate": 5 seconds Time is takes to type "Pl8": 3 seconds Now let's say you type that maybe 5 times a day. With the abbreviation it knocks off 2 seconds. So if you play Runescape everyday for a year and say "Pl8" 5 times a day you would be saving 60.8 minutes every year! Wow! With that time you could eat 2 more meals every year! (Not that American people really need to eat anymore.) (Yes I am American. :wink: ) There are 8765.813 hours in a year! Wow subtract an hour from that and you have 8764.813 left! Wow does it really make that big of a difference? Come on people let's cut down on the abbreviations and maybe people will think you actually have a IQ that tops a 7 year old.[/b]
