  1. well at the moment i am trying to play a movie that i ahve recently downloaded, when i go to play it it comes up with: An audio codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click Web Help. so i have gone to web help, found the codec needed downloaded it AND installed it, but when i go to play the movie it still comes up with the same codec error, what am i doing wrong? and i suppose to go into some option in windows media player and install the codec thru WMP? its got me baffeled i think im doing everything right! please someone help! PS, im running WMP 10
  2. Try changing your desktop resolution to a higher resolution (say from 800 by 600 to 1024 by 768 pixels. my monitor use to have an anoying ring too and that fixed the problem. hope that helps
