  1. Since there's thousands of members, how does the game deal with houses? The world simply isn't big enough to hold thousands of houses. I'm a free player, but may become a member soon enough, so I was just wondering how that worked. Two other things, what is a "ko"? And why do people consider a scimitar to be better than a longsword? The speed is almost identical. EDIT: Oh, and what's a "pure"?
  2. I only mine at about 3 in the morning, US time. And still, there's always someone, always, always someone who is too arrogant to share.
  3. Actually, that logic is faulty. School teaches nearly nothing relevant to life. This is coming from a 29 year old, myself. I dropped out of highschool in grade 9, and I'm glad I did. I highly recommend everyone to do so as well.
  4. What do you advice that my steel-axe-wielding level 18 character do to avoid a higher level rune-axe-wielding character from stealing all of the iron? I'm a F2P, so Varrok-East mines is the most feasible spot. Unfortunately, the iron ores are almost always occupied by a high level. Even if the world has 400~ people, there's usually at least one person who hogs it, and insults me if I ever try to reason with him to share. Do parents not teach the concept of sharing anymore? :x
  5. The following weapons are the only weapons that I would want to use Shortsword Longsword Scimitar Battleaxe I am currently a non-member, but that's irrelevant for this topic. For the duration of this message, the tiers of weaponry (Bronze, Iron, Steel...) are not relevant at all. I'd like to know percisely what difference the different weapons do. I realize the basic principles behind it, which are as follows (to me recollection) Speed (from slowest to fastest) Battleaxe, Longsword, Shortsword, Scimitar Power (From weakest to strongest) Shortsword, Scimitar, Longsword, Battleaxe But just how much faster is a longsword compared to a battleaxe? Just how much stronger is a Longsword to a Scimitar? Questions like those two are what made me make this thread. Most folks aren't like me, and would simply settle for "Battleaxe is stronger, so I'll use that". Younger players might say "Scimitar looks coolest, I'll use that.". But me? I'm a number cruncher. I need to know the algorithms in place for combat. I want to know exactly how fast a longsword is in comparison to a scimitar. I want to know how much of a difference a piercing weapon is against plated armour compared to a crushing weapon. "Gee, I never thought of that", most people would probably say. Well, some people have played Runescape for years, so I'm hoping somebody could help me out. As for armour, what's the algorithm in place for determining whether or not you receive 0 damage, or 1 damage, or 2 etc. And finally, how much of a hindrance to ranged combat is heavy armour? If I wear plated armour and attempt to fire an arrow, what happens?
