My two favorite exchanges: Not verbatim - but the general dialog is accurate. At Catherby fishing spot: Lady1: I have to go put my kids to bed. Clueless: Huh? how can you have kids? Lady1: LOL - I'm 37 years old and I don't think I should tell you how I had them. Clueless: No way mon! no one that old plays games like this. Me: (not being smart enough to stay out of the conversation) Well, I'm a 61-year-old grandmother and I play. Clueless: Liar!!!!!! Liar!!!!! no one that old knows how to use a computer. Me: Gee, wonder if Bill Gates knows that? Clueless: who Bill Gates? From the rapid scrolling of versions of "LMAO" - I gathered others knew who he is. At Seers Village flax field: Wannabescammer: Wanna earn 1mil? I'll pay you for making bowstrings. Me: being a "newbie" and broke What do I need to do? Wannabescammer: Just make 5k bs for me and I'll pay you 1 mil. o.k. so that sounds like a deal to me - at the time I had no idea how much flax sold for but I knew it was going to take some serious time so figured maybe that was a fair deal. Time passes and I keep picking and making bowstrings. We chat in pm's -- and at some point the "how old" conversation comes up. He says he's 15; I share that I'm 61 -- honest, this fits in shortly. A few hours later: Wannabescammer: How many bowstrings do you have now? Me: About 1k Wannabescammer: O.k. give me those now then. Me: How are you going to figure out how much to pay? Wannabescammer: I'll pay you the 1 mil after you get all 5k and I sell them. Me: Er, no - it is pay as we go if I'm giving you the bs. O.k., so a 10-15 minute long debate goes on as we argue whether or not he should pay as I give him the bs ... I'm getting more and more skeptical about his offer ... finally I tell him "no deal". He starts getting abusive ... the last thing I saw him say before IGNORE saved me: Wannabescammer: That's why u old people shouldn't play this game u take things too serious.
