  1. I think he's got it. Don't know about celery or sweet potato though, but I thought it was a slightly bitter aftertaste on the back of the tongue, not very strong at all. And warri0r, thanks, that link does confirm that they both contain the pigment beta carotene, but it doesn't mention if it has any flavour at all. I'll to find out. To the google-mobile!
  2. Yes, originally wild carrots were white or purple, and tasted horrible, so they did some selective breeding. http://www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/history.html
  3. I know it is a bit random, but I'm sure there is just a tiny resemblance there. And Loaf2000, sorry, it's because it was mentioned in the dyes section of my chemistry A level. It IS a natural colouring but chemists consider it a dye basically because all it does is make things orange. The carrots were just boiled and the mango wasn't prepared at all, just fresh (well it had been in the fridge for a day or so). Maybe I'm going nuts and tasting random things, but I ate all the mango so I can't even compare them again. Oh well :?
  4. I have half-ownership of a goldfish my girlfriend won at a fair aout 8 months ago, called Loki. Usually just refered to as Fishy though.
  5. Is it just me, or is there a very slightly similar taste with carots and mangos?? Sounds silly, but I just had dinner, and had both (not at the same time). I swear they have a slightly similar aftertaste on the back of the tongue. I do think mango contains a small amount of the same orange dye as carots (the aptly named carotene) but I didn't think that had any flavour???
  6. I've been lurking in this thread for a while, but decided to join in. I had a look around Draynor manor, someone suggested it fairly recently. There are lots of pictures of things that could be slightly dragony, and some swirly magic symbols, lots around the witch but some on the first floor also, that examine as "a magical wall decoration". I also remember someone saying a while back that some blood smears on a wall somewhere looked like a particular symbol, and they're there too. There is a grave around the back, "Here lies Guy, he told a lie, so we swung him from the gallows high", and the symbol looks familiar. I also dug up a "members item" which it wouldn't show me or let me keep, so I suppose this is from a different quest. There are lots of bronze med helms around, and strangely, a tinder box next to professor Oddenstein, which I don't remember needing for his quest?? I'm not very good at this yet am I, nothing seems relevant. Except maybe the magical wall symbols, but maybe someone will recognise them. Maybe turning people into chickens is a start to summoning, or the portal machine could be used to teleport into the wizard tower. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o301/BoBTFish/drag.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o301/BoBTFish/grave.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o301/BoBTFish/swirl.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o301/BoBTFish/squig.jpg
  7. There are scales on one of the bank tables, but I don't know if they would count as they were there before, and are in most banks.
  8. Death is usually depicted with a scythe, though I don't know if that is something that was added more recently because it looked good for films or anything like that. EDIT: The farmer in the wheat field just north east of his house is farming using a scythe. Don't most farmers just walk around waiting to be killed?
