Sorry all out of ideas :?.

Thanks for the cheers, however i can only help you with one of the two problems :? .
To change the color of the brush that you are currently using you need to, find the main GIMP window (The one that opens when you open it), and find the two colored boxes one should be black the second one should be white, then double click the black one and there you have it the color options!
The second color box is for your secondary color and it works with fades and stuff like that.
Sorry i never invert my pictures, but the problem might be this: Try to click the "select" tab then "select all" then click "layers" go to colors and invert it. that should work.
Hope this helps.

well atleast some people agree XP is safer than Vista sorry vista owners :?

Transparency: Click the tool you wanna use, right click on picture, go to layer, highlight transparency and click "Add Alpha Channel".
Downloading Brushes: Go to Deviantart.com, search for "Gimp Brushes", click the brush and on the right side will be download, get it, and click start, go to my computer, double click C: (Local Disk), then double click "Program Files", then GIMP 2.0, then share, Then gimp again, then 2.0, then you will see brushes. Open the downloaded brushes click and drag them into that file and it should work.
Happy GIMPing its what i use . If you need any tutorials (Tuts) you can visit gimptalk.com
there awesome good luck \

its just usually people make the render transparent or full fledged in view you tried the in between and you kinda didnt pull it off sorry. you should take the original render make 2 layers and use motion blur on it and put them together and i would also put a gflare effect on his hand it would look way better. just trying to help it looks nice
