  1. I have to agree with the side of the prayer argument saying that protection prayers are unnecessary in 1 V 1 fights. And, while this may not be represented in the thread, the majority of people playing Runescape (at least on P2P worlds - I do not feel I have played enough on F2P recently to speak for them) will also agree that protection prayers are "nooby" in 1 V 1 fights. All you have to do is play a few rounds of fight pits (on a world not taken over by a team) and you will see relatively quickly that anyone praying in a 1 V 1 will be piled, which is essentially the form of punishment used in fight pits. The argument that prayers were put in the game for a reason is a valid one, but, for example, using protect from melee in a 1 V 1 melee fight is completely unnecessary. It merely makes both combatants hit lower and less consistently. If you wish to make the argument that then training prayer is useless, I have to disagree. Piety and other stat-boosting prayers are highly effective methods of using your prayer. Using piety will easily make up for the combat levels not put into say, attack or strength. Finally, no matter what argument you attempt to bring up, protection prayers in an otherwise fair 1 V 1 fight have been deemed dishonorable by the Runescape community in general, and in a game like this, that is the final judgment. No argument will be able to change this opinion, at least in the near future.
  2. Luring is not an acceptable practice. Think about it. On the forums it is not allowed to say oyu are selling/buying an item for a price you actually aren't. It's not any different in the game. When you lure, you say you are going to sell/buy an item you actually aren't!
